cheats cannot be activated directly on android. you need to install cleo.apk and then you can use cheats but i don't know much about this. Search in google " gta san andreas android cleo cheats" and you will get alot of info there. Also there is js cheater app in play store but it is paid app. But search in google as I do not have information about these and I myself don't like cheats and mods.

Yeah I've just encountered OG Loc on my android version and I have to say even the simplest of missions on android are near-impossible. I've been googling everywhere for a way to connect either one of my playstation/xbox controllers without rooting or wires to no avail.

Oh well.

Missions on android are easy as compared to ps2. Evey weapon (except sniper and minigun) have auto lock on target from the beginning.

Driving is a little bit annoying on android. After you complete og loc mission the rest of them are very easy. I know chasing missions are a little bit hard at least on android. Touching middcontrolleren to rotate camera is very much annoying and also shooting range challenge is hard. Apart from chasing missioms the rest of them are easy in android. I was noob and completed this game 100% on android. I haven't completed this game on pc and ps2 before. Now I am doing master save and I am done 95% with master save so I think missions difficulty level is same on every platform.

Play it until you get used to touch controls and believe me the touch controls are easy to use than console controller.

Yeah I've completed it on pc, never played story but watched my brothers on ps2, stuck in LV on Xbox and still at the same place as yesterday on Android.

I'm going on holiday for two week tomorrow so I've got plenty of time at night whenever we're not at the bar or elsewhere to make some hours on gta.

That's cool! You will get used to it after you play it for few hours in few days.

Which platform was the Android version ported from?

I might know how you can manually activate cheats. My theory: Press the Android buttons that match the button equivalents of the version this was a port from. Know what I mean? I'll give a more thorough example if it's a port of the version I'm familiar with.

"The Android version is a port of the 2004 GTA title", according to a Google search. I know San Andreas was released for the PS2 in 2004 (no other platform version was released in 2004), yet this doesn't convince me it was a PS2 port. "2004 GTA title" specifies San Andreas, not the port source.

In my opinion the android version is ported from pc version.

In android version when you are on foot then there is only two buttons, one for spriting and other for firing weapons.

There are not built in cheats for android version.

The cheats can be activated only when you install cleo.apk and then touching the middle of the screen will bring a list of chaets and after you activate the cheat you will get a message "cleo cheat activated" instead of cheat activated message that appears in pc and ps2.

Also there is a app which can modify your save file to activate the cheat.

But using third party apps to activate cheat is annoying.

Android and ios have also some limitations so thats why there are not built in cheats available for them.

Do you think the creators of these apps made a deal to sponsor Rockstar under the condition Rockstar would render cheats unusable without their software installed in exchange, or could it be a precaution against piracy? I can't think of any other reasons why they would impose these limitations.

They haven't made any deal with rockstar. These apps only works by modding the game. Thd cleo mods the game data and then use its own scripts to activate cheats. The other app modify save file to activate the cheats.

The size of the game has been reduced so rockstar may have eliminated few things from the games including cheats. The other reason is that android do not physical buttons so thats why rockstar haven't put cheats in mobile version. Also some users have reported that using game keyboard emulator and putting cheats of pc also do not work.
