Obviously it's not the fastest. So if you're going into a race on the Commute you're going to have problems. But put down your entities and zentornos just for one second, and I promise you, you will have an absolute blast in this car. Yes it's beaten by top speed by every other super. But it out corners, out breaks and certainly out accelerates any other car in the entire game. Well.. From my experience anyway.

 

I was destroying my friends in races, 20-30 seconds ahead, and my friends are not bad racers by all means.

 

So if you have a garage space free, give the voltic a try. You'll absolutely love it for those sharp turn, lots of corners kinda tracks, and keep your entity for those long straights.

 

This has been a public service announcement from your fellow Voltic owner.

 

 

p.s. I did a search for voltic and practically nothing came up...

I love the Voltic. You are right about the acceleration btw. It has the potential to out perform many of the beast cars in short, tight races. Electric cars don't have to go through gears the way a normal car does. They simply pick up speed.

Really want one, just because I love the Exige in real life (and the Tesla, to a slightly lesser degree).

However, I've got to hold off on getting one for Garage 2, because as of Patch 1.13, it's currently impossible to buy one with a painted roof. Carbon or open-top, no problem, but matching? No dice. :(


Hopefully it's a quick 'hot-fix' issue - either that, or it'll be out with 1.14, and not too long from now, either...

Next time some dbag decides to run supercars on the Nurburing, take the Voltic. While they're busy flying off every corner and ledge in their overpowered penis, you'll be executing fantastic turns through superior handling.

Everything outruns it, I replaced mine with a Turismo. Had the Voltic since Online came out.

I used to race with it all the time and struggled to keep first place, but a fully modded entity or cheetah would pass me most of the time.

 

and I need some kind of engine sound :/

unless you race some one who knows how to drive....broad generalization for owners of supers doesn't mean its so.

I'm glad I read this as I was planning to go and buy one again after I'd read this thread. I guess I'll just have to wait for a little longer

Wanted a small-ish two door for running around town with my second character,

 

Narrowed my search down to the Comet and the Voltic, ended up taking the Comet. The Voltic is fast and handles reasonably well, but the lack of engine noise is a complete mindf*ck for me, and it's completely flummoxed by curbs and other low-lying obstacles.

I have a Voltic, I've had a Voltic forever, and it will remain there for eternity just like my Tailgater. Those are the two cars I'd never trade. I have it in ice white matte and it looks SICK. Wish I had a picture to show, it's my usual Freeroam car. I never see it ever in Freeroam and i can't help but worry people are missing out on how great this car is. Okay, it's not a racing car, but it's slick, fast and best of all silent.

I have the PS3 Collectors Edition, and im not a fan of any of the cars, or the bullpup shotgun. Now the 50 Cal on the other hand is a beast, but the Khameleon is outclassed by so many other Sport cars IMO. I don't have any CE cars in my two 20 car garages except for the Hotknife equiped with Ignitinon Bomb so people blow up when they try to steal it, otherwise it sucks.

I recently purchased one and have a blast with it. Sure it doesn't have the top speed to own the highways but with it only having a single gear transmission, its got ballz. Plus it turns like a go-kart.

 

In toun, only the crotch rockets can stay with it. Also, vice versa, its your best bet at catching a decent rider.

Topless or roof? Which is best? And if roof anyone know how to get the painted roof

 

From what I'm told, its not available at this time. I suspect it has something to do with the body styling being messed up across the board, and all cars you buy default to body style 0.

 

Cross your fingers for a fix in 1.14.

Oh man this brings me back to launch date. Everything was fresh, all low levels, no tryhards. I first did a bunch of Gerald missions til' I could get my first 20k garage (the one under the freeway on the East part of LS). My first car purchase was of course, the Voltic! I loved it so much.

The Entity is better for racing since it handles almost just as good. I only use my Voltic if I'm in a troll kind of mood.

 

It IS good for public free roam though on the streets of LS due to its acceleration and quietness. Very handy for escaping bounty hunters.

OMG FUNNY ASS EXPERIENCE WITH THE VOLTIC!

 

Ok, so I did the lowering glitch on the car and I crashed, the front bumper side fender was sticking into the wheel. So, the car would start popping off the ground from that one wheel rubbing on the fender LMAO. Oh how i wish i recorded it

I've raced and won against chrome Adders with dollar sign rims in the Voltic. It's acceleration is unmatched because it has no gears. It has one speed...one gear...GO!

 

It does get some massive tankslappers in the turns or under accelerate-brake-accelerate conditions, but it's manageable providing nobody worsens it by PIT-ing you off the road.
