Gauntlet Survival Capture Modes

Recommended Posts

Ever wanted to do a special capture which combined Racing, Survival and Stunts? Look no more.

The initial gauntlet design was being discussed on the creator forums so I wouldn't be surprised if I would find similar designs by other people.

I invested hours and effort into these. Constant testing and updating in order to make them flow. It's a completely different capture style and I made sure it's as exciting and fun as it could be.

There are two versions with different styles that I've made so far:

Reapers of Nightfall:

Description:

Temptation never felt so alluring. It's midnight, the air is cold and the sky mysterious. Two teams are given 4 Hexer motorcycles and are tasked to deliver at least 1 to the Paleto Cove Pier. The highway is rigged with military defenses from Fort Zancudo. If you've ever asked yourself if you can handle a motorcycle, now is the time to answer that question. Cruise down the ocean highway, turn up the radio, twist the throttle and stare death in the eye! Praise the moon and ride into the Nightfall.

Quick info:

Set it to Forced Weapons. You need to deliver at least 1 Hexer from the 4 your team is given. Use the highway because it's the only way. You will be faced with dangerous yet fun obstacles. Requires at least 6 people. 3v3.

Reapers of Velocity:

Description:

You can't die if you're not living. You are given a motorcycle, a shotgun, a duffle bag and a destination. 2 teams compete to deliver 3 packages to the borders of Paleto Bay. The highway will guide you yet be warned. There will be heavy resistance. Soar through the roads as you face pure armageddon! Reaching the end without dying is possible yet requires skill and luck. Twist the throttle, load your sawn-off and crack your knuckles. This is Reapers of Velocity.

Quick info:

Set it to Forced Weapons. Your team is given duffle bags and motorcycles. You have to deliver at least 3 duffle bags by using the highway. If you die, you will respawn above where you died in a plane so you have a choice to either parachute down, pick up the bag and continue to deliver it or smash your plane into opposing players. There will be many challenges in the way. Requires at least 8 people. 4v4.

MOST IMPORTANTLY - REAPERS OF VELOCITY REQUIRES 8 PEOPLE MINIMUM (4V4) REAPERS OF NIGHTFALL REQUIRES 6 PEOPLE MINIMUM (3V3) HAVING 10+ PEOPLE IS USUALLY VERY FUN. FORCED WEAPONS REQUIRED FOR PROPER GAMEPLAY.

I'm open to any feedback to these matches. They play out a lot easier if the minimum player requirement is filled and if it's set to Forced Weapons.

There are no spawn-killing tanks.

You spawn high up in the air, above where you died in a plane which gives you a choice to either...

- Parachute down, grab the duffle bag you dropped, acquire transport and carry on.

- Fly to your team members and help them deliver their duffle bags.

- Crash your plane into enemy players, slowing them down on capturing their duffle bags.

You're never faced with a tank unless you go face it yourself.

Oh yes, that was the problem, wasn't it? It seemed the tank would tend to cover the bag, rendering it terrible hard to re acquire it. . Well, in the case that I played with you that is. None the less, I hope it doesn't happen to anybody else, it is a real pain.
