Unless I imagined it the doors on the Fathom FQ or whatever it's called have lights on the underside, no idea if every car does or if the Fathom is just special. God knows it needs something in its favour.

Many other cars do this too.

And they are called courtesy lights.

Did base invaders with my buzzard just as night was falling. When I'd finished off the troops I went to get the cargobob

and I could hear music playing. It turns out it was the bugler playing the retreat at the end of the day.

Also,I've only just noticed the door chimes when you go in and out of a store. Is this a recent addition or is it a next gen thing.

Its surprised me when i discovered you can turn a bagger into a military WW2 era bike.

That's because it's the Wolfsbane with different wheels, tank and aditional side bags and the front frame.

For female players, you can wear the knee high boots over the Valentine's Day stockings. It's a very good look if you want to look classy in the dress and stockings but don't want to be taller due to high heels.

Deleting Snapmatic photos on new-gen doesn't render the urls useless - they won't show up on your Social Club page anymore, but the links will still work:

For example, I deleted this:

hwYu3cQuSU-E2-5-JUMVOg_0_0.jpg

...to make room for this:

nkQvEcspvEOtTtAGHzvQKQ_0_0.jpg

...but the top link clearly still works. Good to know if you want to free up some space, but don't want the pics to disappear from forum posts, or just want to be able to retrieve them at some point.

^ AFAIK deleting Snapmatics doesn't render the links dead immediately, there's some sort of clear-down server side that kills them eventually/with the next update.

But seriously R*, give us an export tool. Or at least web-based Gallery management.

I was at least hoping that, now that uploading is manual, that you could only have 96 saved in-game, but once they were uploaded to Social Club, you could free up the in-game slots, because they'd be uploaded/saved to the website.

At some point, I'll probably manually save everything (as in, right-click, 'save as', etc.), just so I've got back-ups of everything, but yeah - I'm finding that 96 spaces ain't enough these days, and that's after just a few months on Xbone...

just do what i do, save them from social club and put them on imgur. that way they have a URL so i can upload them here and they stay in the forums.

I don't know if this was already known or not but the modded npc vehicles have set spawn times just wanted to throw that out there.

On PS4 if you slam into a smallish tree in a car leaves will fall and float gracefully about you.

I noticed this after getting rear ended (that's what she said) by a cop right into a tree. I got inescapably wedged in and shot to death but at least I had something pretty to look at while my life ebbed away.

Recently discovered that you don't actually have to purchase the Homing Missle Launcher.

A friend can drop theirs, you pick it up, and it will remain in your inventory even after logging off.

Your friend won't have to repurchase the weapon if they immediately turn off their console after dropping the weapon. So I'm told, anyway.

Also, my character appears to be involutarily consuming Meteorites at an alarming rate again. It had ceased during the week of the Festive Surprise, and in fact, Meteorites in Snacks inventory actually increased by one after each completed mission. (Got it up to 23 or so.)

I just found out that when you typing a messing to another player through your phone & you wanna back out quickly you can just press select once instead of hitting B a bunch of times. Very useful!

I'd seen the nifty thing where, if you've got the radio on in your car and you leave your character idle, they'll start bopping along to the music - however, having played around with it a bit, I've noticed a few interesting specifics:

  • Depending on the station, they'll 'dance' differently - from mild nodding along with funk tracks ('Ashley's Roachclip' - The Lowdown 91.1), to gettin' proper jiggy with it for pop numbers ('Feel Good Inc.' - Non-Stop-Pop FM). Suspect Los Santos Rock Radio = full-on head-banging - need to perform further tests...
  • Not sure if it's just wishful thinking on my part, but it even looks like the animations synch up in time with the music - sat and watched for most of 'Feel Good Inc.', and it looked like my character stayed in time throughout (verification needed, obviously).
  • Lastly, I like that, when switching stations, you'll actually see them lean forward and fiddle with the dial - not sure, but I think they also reach for the appropriate part of the dashboard panel depending on the car interior style (think it was just a generic fumble on old-gen, but on the new machines it looks to be more specific).

I noticed that last night! For some of the electro music, he looked like he was DJing rather than head bopping and rocking out on some of the other stations. Love the detail! On worldwide FM during a very mellow jazz piece he barely moved at all, just light swaying.

I learned recently that everyone in this game sucks at driving. Who knew?!

I guess I learned sort of recently that you can now set vehicle access to passenger, which means anyone can get into your vehicle, but you're the only one who can get into the driver seat. Very useful for keeping people from driving off with your car, while still being able to ferry the useless f*ckers around.

Apparently my Cheetah has a secondary paint option which changes the trim colour. Is it just me who's never noticed that before?

Same thing happens with the Blista Compact, it tints the rear-lights and center badge.

- From what I can tell, it sounds like the audio mix for car radios is different when you're in first-person mode - partly because (in hard-tops, at least) outside noises are muted for realism's sake.

- If you leave your Pegasus vehicle long enough, it'll be 'put back into storage because you're no longer using it'. Except in some instances, it isn't - I parked my Dodo at Sandy Shores, got in a car, did some laps around the airfield, and got the notification from Pegasus that it had gone (and the icon was no longer on the map). Thing was, it was still where I left it - basically, it turns into a regular NPC vehicle that you can still use as before! Not sure if that means I can spawn another and clone it, but that might be a neat little exploit if true...

- You can glitch in a plain white t-shirt for female characters that isn't purchasable/obtainable by regular means - put on an off-the-shoulder top, then equip a blazer. This makes a plain white open-neckline tee (same cut as the red R* one) appear underneath, and it'll stay on even if you take the jacket off. Go under 't-shirts' in any shop/wardrobe, and it'll disappear and be replaced with the yellow one at the top of the list (or whatever ones you own in your wardrobe).

...and now I really hope R* re-releases all the stuff from last February (some new stuff would be nice, too! ;) )! That'd make for some great outfit combos...

(already got every single item of male clothing last year - those suits were/are ridiculously cool)

I just realized you can open the door at the airport rather than take that jump over the fence... how long have we been able to do that by the way?

also just realized I can have more than one bullet proof vest.

If you watch a pole dancer at the Unicorn and keep on make it rain, eventually the dancer will leave the pole and dance up close to you. Funny touch.
