Things you didn't know about GTAO until now

When you receive an invite to a mission (from contacts) right next to the number of players than can join you can see the distance from your current location to the mission start location in meters.

I.e: Pickup Sticks (1 to 4 players) - 2000m, Rooftop Rumble (1 to 4 players) - 200m, etc.

 

This is useful if you're new to a certain mission and don't know how much far it is.

 

 

Continuing from the above point, usually if you are close to a mission start you'll get a notification of that mission. When I used to live in Paleto Bay Martin could always send me an invite to Time To Get Away because said mission's target location is just a few meters away.

I only recently picked up on the fact that you can flip the bird by pressing L1 while racing on a bike. And by then holding r3 while doing so you give the middle finger behind you. I probably find it a lot funnier than I should doing it while In first place down the final straight.

 

Also I was racing cycles against a low level. I have max stamina while he's was understandably low. So I kept just enough space between us and gave him the finger throughout- obviously knowing he could never overtake me. Mean, but hilarious. To me anyway.

You can do this on cars as well, making sure no weapons are selected.

 

Yes, which is a method I use to put my window down all the time without smashing it.

 

Maybe what jiggaman1 might have been referring to was that when on a bike in first person mode, you can give the finger and stay in 1st person mode, unlike in a car. I always wished it wouldn't switch to 3rd person mode when firing a weapon, like in GTA San Andreas.

I've just discovered this morning that you can buy shoes at Ammunation...most of you probably know this and even more probably don't care...I don't even care apart from the fact that I never knew this until just now.

 

I've also recently discovered that you can view the whole map when inside your apartment rather than just seeing that useless interior map.

 

Also a couple of weeks back someone mentioned in a thread that they hate having to go into the pause menu to take off a gps that they were not using...until I told them that you can select "none" in the quick menu.

 

Has anyone else recently discovered something that may be of some use to me or anyone else that doesn't know about?

not to mention a few others. I subscribe to them and have the YouTube widget on my homescreen to my phone. When my subscriptions release a new video, I see it on my homescreen and get the info right away.

The reason I say this, is because I knew ALL of this. Not bragging, but there is ALOT more sh*t I want you guys to see and these guys show most of it to us. There are also some really amazing things they have in some of their videos. Dom got one of his subs to create a TDM playlist of all the interiors that we can't go in during free mode. Inside the FIB building, the broken down hospital, the Humane Labs etc etc....

Easter egg mysteries, the UFOs, strategy on how to make money (legit and illegitimate) how to find rare cars (I have a Nemesis thanks to these strategies!!) and updates on future DLC (Dom's been right about 90% of the time because he hacks the DLC and XBL Marketplace codes and finds bits of data about future releases hidden in the code)

 

Again guys, not trying to promote these guys in ANY way, BUT you guys need to see some of the stuff they have to offer us on YouTube

This may be noobish, but I only found out yesterday that when you're hacking a computer in a mission and you do the one where you have to make a word from the scrolling columns, you can move left and right to pick which column you want to work on. I always just got it right and it moved to the next one.

Can't confirm for LG but yeah, had a laugh at my guy dancing while sitting in the drivers seat. Noticed Michael doing the same dance in SP too lol.

 

Since I'm here I should just pass on that I read the mineshaft is now exploreable; not sure if that's SP only or both though. Can someone confirm?

For most of the hacking challenges, you can skip the first step and just do one of the "puzzles" before it unlocks.
