Oh man, I didn't know a useable skateboard was actually in development for last gen, nor did I remember a skater in the trailer.

Maybe with the recent additions of beta content, the skateboard could someday be added on current gen, or GTA VI.

 

I have similar memories of SA: my friend and I miraculously renting a copy from blockbuster, discovering each new city as we progressed. I never got into modding it, but I'd have tried for the skateboard had I known.

Oh most definitely, lol. I'd replay much of the game with a skateboard in hand. I'd use it for stealth takedowns, to slap some sh*t up in the Sonar Jammer prep, the Tequi-la-la missions, or bomb down a hill into a crowd of enemies, etc

It was in the PS4 version reveal, on that scene in Forum Drive. It was one of the first mods I got into the game. There was also a skateboard weapon.

 

R* is kind of lazy nowadays. I'm pessimistic on them adding new weapons and new animations into the game. All the melee weapons are basically reskins of the knife, baseball bat, and hatchet. I'm hoping they would add chainsaw and katana, even though they're probably very lazy to make an animation for the former.

@00:47 mark, there's a guy swerving by the curb in the background.

 

I might add: If you listen to Motomami Los Santos, you can hear Rosalia saying "...imagine yourself riding from Santa maria to Verona beach". 

These locations are not in GTA V, but they were in GTA San Andreas' Los Santos.

 

IDK if this was intentional or Rosalia haven't played GTA V yet.

i don´t think he is swerving...looks to me like the animation that something scared him.

maybe he was too close by the curb and that car came too close.

and before that you can see he is on his phone.

If you hide some icons on minimap/map via Map Blip options (Adversary, Survival, Deathmatch, Land Race, Air Race, missions, etc) they will also disappear in the quick job menu.

Yeah. That's the guy. You're right he was probably just avoiding the oncoming car. Kinda weird for that dude to do it considering the distance.

well it was still a few months out.

maybe NPCs were more sensitive to cars driving close.

or the dev just placed him just a little bit too close to trigger it

One of the "Offroad" rim sets added in the 2020 Summer update had "Police" in it for a long time, but it might have quietly been changed at some point. Last time I checked it was a few weeks after LS Tuners released, it still had "Police" in the name at that time.

Not sure if this is unique to my controller or an effect of using a controller on PC or even some weird side effect of swapping back and forth between controller and key-mouse constantly, BUT:

 

Tapping in the right stick of my 3rd party xbox controller shifts my camera into bumper cam,  the old, og version first person camera, at least for flying vehicles. I realize I haven't tested it on land vehicles. Holding it still looks behind like normal, unless the vehicle has a designated "look at the pilot" cam.

It's not side effect. It's just one of camera modes. You can press Ins on keyboard to switch to it as well. For land vehicles you need to activate hood camera in settings to have something similar.

Thanks. Now I see my confusion: The Offroad wheels have Police Issue Steelies and the Street wheels have Poverty Spec Steelies. But I thought they both had Police in the name.

Those mines seem to only trigger with vehicles in other places where they're used, makes me wonder if you were supposed to control a vehicle at any point in earlier versions of the heist. Could also be just decorative of course.

Never pay attention to this before, but deliveries in Autoshop always use masculinitives in reference to clients, no matter if we deliver to man or woman, while Houseclub motorcycles deliveries diversify it.

Yeah it sucks having female and male words for that in other languages.

 

In German it's "Klient" and "Klientin" or it was "Kunde" and "Kundin", i hate my language if it comes to that. And lately there is this annoying af "Gendern" happening in Germany, it completly ruins our language. Im glad there is a browser addon that completly removes "Gendern" from every text in the internet.

Even if language has grammatical genders, usually male version of a client is just universal and covers both female and male. Male is even used more to keep the anonymity.

Is it possible to buy the clients customized bike in the club house? i.e. i modify the bike. Instead of delivery i put it back to garage. Now it says deliver the bike or purchase the bike. If i buy it now do i buy the modified bike or just the standard one? Tks for info

I read them as being the reason you can't just park the sub wherever the f*ck you want, they're obviously anti-ship/sub mines. Still fun to swim right past one when Quick Jobbing though, poor hosts.

That's a good question. I'll try it with one of the cheaper bikes like the Faggio if one comes to my shop and this isn't already answered here by then.
