It's a PC thing, or a merge glitch thing for console. I guess it would depend on the glitch in question if you can merge stuff onto special vehicles (vehicle warehouse basement).

Putting insurance on a stolen bicycle I'm actually not sure about. I tried that once but the game wouldn't let me. Maybe I'll have to try it again.

Thanks. I'd never try any glitch or merge, I was just wondering if there was something I was missing.

Can you explain the bold part a little more? Is it just a PC thing?

I like the lights on the Wedge.

I see a lot of people talking about the "PC thing", but in the end all systems are equal with one difference, when you update a vehicle in the Consoles by putting a new part, it saves the vehicle as a whole, in the PC, it just updates the new part that you bought, that's why you can for example paint stock wheels easily, and that's why you can have crew color RGBs over any texture (matte for example) without any tricks. That was not always the case, because buying a Crew color would force the "utility" texture until 2016 just like in the consoles, I still have an utility texture in my Akuma for example because it was painted in 2015. Anyway because of this difference is easier to merge on the PC than in the consoles, but you still can do it though all sorts of glitches, and as I said, insurance is just like any other part like Turbo, the trick with Bicycles is that you have to lower them to a car slot to be able to glitch, and this can lead to a multitude of other problems and tricks, but after that you are able to put anything you like on it.

For some time, you could get parts though Charles Proxy. Basically iFruit when modify a car, simply send a text message with a simple numeric code to the Rockstar servers that tell what to do with your car, so if you intercept this message and change it, you could do a multitude of things, so if you want turbo, you simply tell that turbo ("31":"1") being 31 the number of the part, and 1 being "on", for other parts you have increments like Engine ("12":"4") for max upgrade and so on.

Example, green window tint being applied through Charles Proxy.

Spoiler

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

Before the Lifeguard Blazer was available for buying you could own it though merging, first step was to merge it with a common street car, when the game believes that your Quad is a street car you can buy insurance for it, in the consoles the trick was to swap it with a car arriving after buying, so the Blazer would get the data sheet from that car, that you guess what? include an insurance already it because you bought it in first place, after this, you could modify your Blazer with either Charles Proxy on the consoles, or the previous AND merging in the PC.

This pictures are from 2016 and show the Lifeguard Blazer with the insurance.

I just can't show to you the icons for the insured Bicycles because they don't show even if the Bike is in a car slot.

Btw if I am not wrong, you still can buy colored Bicycles to this day by:

Spoiler

Going in the browser and selecting to buy an BMX.

Instead of buying you press the "home" button.

You go to buy a Z-Type, select the Color you would like in your BMX

Go to the browser history (the little clock) and look out for (bike-details3)

Buy your BMX and it should come with the color previously selected on the Z-Type.

Merging is possible in any platform, the only difference is how it's done, Car to Car, Car to Bandito, Bandito to Car, Magic Slot.

Putting insurance can be done with any of this methods, the thing is that Bicycles usually didn't had the insurance active in most of cases, but you could make it apear in the list with some tricks, however Bicycles in car slots would have the insurance active at all times, some vehicles like the anti-aircraft trailer don't have insurance, but have a script that make a new one apear, so if you swap it with any parking spot and it get's destroyed, there is no way of geting in back, and that parking spot will be forever lost, people call these "bricked spots", and it's a nightmare to fix.

You can wear some baseball caps in cars which don't allow hats to be worn. I left the light gray (it's totally plain and looks white, not gray) baseball hat on an outfit and it didn't disappear when I got in whatever it is they call the Honda S2000. Never stop learning in GTA.

If it's the cap I'm thinking of, this cap is used along with a face mask added with the Diamond Casino heist DLC, which is why you can use it inside cars.

The black helmets added with OG Heists update can also be worn inside cars.

You can use any headgear inside any vehicle, you just have to re equip de outfit very quickly during the getting in animation.

One interesting mechanic that still exists and it's on tune with what GTA on-line was supposed to be at one point of development (Gang driven), is the fact that 5 gang attacks against the same faction will result in the said faction boss putting a bounty in your head with a custom message.

Merging bicycles is not possible on consoles since there is no way to bring one into a mod shop.

That's incorrect, after the Bicycle is in a car spot you can do anything with it.

I remember reading at some place when the Nightclub DLC was out that the DJ Dixon didn't like Weed, so when he is in your Nightclub playing, all the cigarettes in the Nightclub are swapped from Canabis to Tobacco.

The most useless piece of information in the game, but at the same time, makes you feel appreciation for the Devs, and yes, the cigarettes are not aligned with the cutout on the ashtray 😕

That video only shows you how to put a bike in a garage spot. The game still recognizes that it is a bicycle and restricts it from entering LSC, which is why we haven't been able to add bulletproof tires using the charles/ifruit method in many years. As far as I know if you move a bike to the arena garage then it becomes invisible in the spot and can only be called in via mechanic, so no way of merging it there either.

After the bicycle is on a car slot you can use a magic slot on a normal garage, and use the bicycle in the car slot to push other ones and customize multiple ones, Magic slots retain mods on a parking spot, so the bicycle in theory don't need to go to any modshop, just to be parked there, I remember seeing also a "Speedo to any vehicle" not very long ago.

Been playing this game since 2013, and didn't know the Dodo had wheels... Was wondering why the plane would blow up after landing on solid surface, haha.

Apparently, if you fling the bank manager and his mistress off the balcony with your helicopter blades, you don't get the Union Depository door code.

I was checking out the thread about AI accuracy being too OP and started digging into the files.

Surprisingly, I found out there's enemy accuracy scaling applied to Cops, Swat and Army NPCs that kicks in once you face at least 3 enemies. 2.5% accuracy reduction is applied to the cops per each cop.

Still, I hardly think this makes much difference when you're overwhelmed by the cops. It also applies to enemies in Special Cargo, Biker Sell, Smuggler missions, but I believe it targets the FIB agents or undercover cops. Not your generic type of enemy.

I can see this as a design choice since attaining a wanted level allows the game to spawn more cops other than the scripted ones.

Can you verify if the NPC enemies gets more range and accuracy while inside vehicles?

..which is green

It's green because the auto shop makes car colors look more bluish, especially low-saturated colors. Sunlight makes them look more yellowish, so it's a light khaki there.

After the Terrorbyte was introduced in GTA on-line, there was a glitch involving buying Special Cargo with it; more specifically the Special Items, upon buying 3 units, with a Special Item available, that would make the mission give to you 3 copies of the same Special Item instead of just normal products. This glitch let you have more than one unit of Special Items that is not possible under normal circumstances.

A lot of people probably know this, but there are a lot of places where the protagonists of the GTA HD Universe are referenced in the world, more specifically I am talking about pictures, and not the most common ones such as the Life Invader page or other stuff that is in the Wiki.

It is very extreme in there. Weird that JR Deaths performance yellow for the RX7 looks accurate in there & outside. My nardo grey looks blue in there lol

Today I learned you can transfer cars in the Nightclub garages to a different level. Say you want a car from B2 moved to B3.

I'm pretty sure it depends on the saturation of the color. Yellow has high saturation, gray has low saturation. The lower the saturation, the more influence the ambient light has on the car color. At least that's what I remember from computer graphics courses.

It would be so cool if they redid these things for expanded and enhanced so the physics were totally realistic.

Making crew colours on console would certainly be much easier then.

Hopefully i can make Matte Crew Colours too…Green Hell Magno will look even better.

I didn't know we could get electrocuted by touching exposed wires on abandoned buildings...

I was randomly wandering around on the countryside circling an old house.. Then I suddenly dropped, electrocuted. I panicked at first thinking it was some player with a Drone or the RC car, but then I noticed the exposed wires on the house wall... I got near it again and got electrocuted again, this time bringing a smile into my face, only now realizing this kind of environmental hazard existed in the game after 3K hours played.
