It's still like this. If you want to get rid of bicycles you bought, you have to park a stolen bicycle over it and then destroy that one.

I have a Whippet that I stored after the first Hold The Wheel that I won. Not sure how long that ability lasted, but you can't do it now. I thought that it wasn't insured, but one day it got blown up and I could claim it from Mors.

I guess that one's different then? What's interesting is that you can't glitch insurance on a stolen bicycle, although you can glitch bulletproof tires on it, but not on a bicycle bought from the store. It's weird. The Mors Mutual thing where you need to have one destroyed non-bicycle for bicycles to show up applies to anything stored in a bicycle slot though.

How can you get bulletproof tires on any of them since you can't bring them into a shop anymore? I've been wanting these on my crew color bikes for years.

Glitches/cheats. I could help if you're on PC. But like I said for some reason it's not possible to have bulletproof tires AND insurance. Maybe I just made a mistake though.

I was hoping for a console way since you used to be able to bring bikes into LSC for glitching.

I think I knew and forgot this, but you can call your AA trailer during contact missions

 

Empty alcohol bottles (beer, champagne) will burn if you shoot them with incendiary rounds.

Installing hood catches makes a lot of the hoods unable to open.

Forgot just how good the bullet penetration is with even the regular, suppressed sniper rifle - if you do the Superdollar Deal tracking device setup mission with the Crusader, and manage to line up the two (hapless) soldiers, you can down them both with one headshot (and without scaring the horses, either!).

 

I also like how for things like the Crusader location, or which ship you need for the ECU job, it'll use different locations - so sometimes the boat will be at the docks, others at Elysian Island. Obviously things like the train location/schedule are fixed (because there's only one fitting location), but it's not always the same thing every time.

 

...however, that's a double-edged sword, because I also didn't realise that the trailer you need to photograph at Fort Zancudo has multiple locations!  I think doing it at night means it's always in a hangar, which means the guards are reasonably well-spaced, and it's easy enough to hug the walls, knock out one guy to get close, and slip out without hassle. But during the day, it can also spawn on the runway, surrounded by guards on multiple levels, with no easy way of sneaking in - got spotted, wound up trying to hold off infinite waves of Crusaders with a 5-star wanted level.  At least you can steal an APC (there are a couple, plus a Rhino and a Half-Track - and fortunately, none are manned!), which makes getting out a bit easier if it's all gone Pete Tong...

I actually found the reverse to be true. I had a harder time figuring out the easy path along the right side of the hangar behind the shelves with the large oil tanks. The two locations on the runway are easy if you approach on the cargobob side. You can take the photograph just outside where patrolling guards can see you. Then you only need to avoid two guards to put the tracker on the trailer.

You can stop an entire wave in survival that way if all enemies come from one direction, even better early when they are one-hit killed by pretty much anything.

Yeah, I approached from the westmost side (nearest the Rhino) - took out one guard just fine, then got spotted by the guy on the roof above.

 

As for the hangar version, I ended up climbing over some stuff to skip past vision cones, and then only needed to stealth-melee-takedown one guy who was blocking the clear route to placing the tracker. Other than that, it really was just a matter of hugging the wall as much as possible.

Takes me back to the OG version of Coveted (back when it was basically just a long shooting gallery) - you could easily line up several dudes in one go, if anyone ran up the hill they'd give you a nice, easy conga line, and even if if you had to snap off a body shot, they'd still keel over and bleed out. Good times...

Bicycles can have insurance, bulletproof tires, any primary and secondary color texture and color, and pearl and maybe even extras depending on the model. And for example, you can get a Bike from the street and merge insurance on it even that you didn't had bought it originally, so it's just like any other vehicle part, just like with any street stolen car, you just don't usually have access to this stuff.

 

Every single other parking spot is able to hold any modifications, window tints work in Bikes and Planes, you can have colored headlights in any vehicle etc.

Yeah - same with the Superyacht Life mission "All Hands" (the one with the Tula). Normally, if there's a mission where there's Metal Gear-style vision cones, you can use a suppressed weapon or a crouch-then-melee insta-kill to get rid of them silently, and it won't alert all the other guards (unless they see, or if the shot is so close that they hear - suppressors aren't silent, after all!).

 

In the case of the hangar version of the Tracking Device setup, there's maybe one guy who blocks access to planting the tracker - but if you crouch, walk up, and do a 'bop on the back of the head' melee takedown, that's enough to get rid of him quietly, and then you can sneak back out the way you came.

Also the front headlights doesn't work if you install a light mod. It doesn't turn on automatically at night

It's a PC thing, or a merge glitch thing for console. I guess it would depend on the glitch in question if you can merge stuff onto special vehicles (vehicle warehouse basement).

 

Putting insurance on a stolen bicycle I'm actually not sure about. I tried that once but the game wouldn't let me. Maybe I'll have to try it again.
