Doesn't make sense realism wise, but it's understandable gameplay wise for sure. This is the same in any other gta game afaik.

Except GTA 1, IIRC, you could only survive large jumps with a motorcycle.

GTA 2 you could survive any jump in a car though unless landing on top of another one.

Yellow Dog with Cone

You can't rapid fire (tapping the fire button to fire faster) a pistol while driving, behind cover or while ragdolling.

If you have a vehicle with interior trash like coffee cups, e cola cans, ashtrays full of cigarette butts etc., you can remove it all using the Arena Workshop merge method. (The one players are using to merge Benny's or F1 wheels)

Just make sure the "donor car" has no interior trash in it.

This also applies to livery’s that need to be unlocked. I.e eCola livery for S80rr. Just apply the 11th livery option on any car that has it available for you. 👍🏻

Oh, I thought it Only had 30. Nevermind...anyway...

Insignificant fact: During the reverse driving challenge you can knock into other players in reverse and not reset your score. Hitting any other object will end your current run.

The Deluxo and Stromberg have 30 I believe...maybe the Vigilante too.

drop any car from helicopter - it'll land safely with no damage done - not really realistic

Not if you put sticky bombs on it. Comes in handy to take out a group of people.

Thinking about countermeasures ... I have a feeling lots of people don't know, that the FLARE gun works as a flare countermeasure for missiles.

You inexplicably get 75JP for doing a casino heist (this might be true for earlier heists but I only noticed it now).

Inexplicable because they're entirely f*cking useless.

eta you get 15 for most jobs in case that wasn't obvious

Some time ago it was possible to use JP as a token to register as a VIP. That was a loooong time ago. Right now JP are only good for playlists.

GAUNTLET HELLFIRE

I had no idea you could get a wanted level during piracy prevention I though wanted levels were disabled in it. Also can't rob a store during PP.

Part of this reason is because it took R* about two years to actually turn the Flare Gun as a viable countermeasure, because up until Smuggler's Run DLC the flare gun didn't had that extra functionality.

And people don't know how actually effective it can be

f*cking Spies on Faggios. Hope this won't lead to all Faggios getting an Off Radar upgrade.

I've known this for a while, but since VIP Work is x2 I remembered to post it here...

If you have a vehicle with proximity mines and aren't currently using an aimed weapon (like the Tampa/Speedo remote guns), then you can simply drive in front of a Headhunter vehicle, drop 5 mines in a stack and drive away. It will blow up the VIP and they didn't even see it coming.

I think this change that vehicle mines don't blow up as long as you haven't driven away was introduced with Arena War.

What do they do for playlists?

They are used to establish who's winning: the one with more JP is the winner. It's supposed to be used in the playlists that consist from multiple PvP events like DMs and TDMs. Things of the past, to be honest.

I've done a race playlist with the same group of people every week since Online started and never actually realized our overall places in the list were from the Job Points until now.

The race numbers on the Sprunk livery for the BF400 are messed up. The front is numbered 31 but the sides are numbered 37. The Atomic is right with all three reading the same number 27.

I had the Sprunk livery on for ages and just noticed it today. Couldn't unsee it and swapped over to the Atomic one.

And this is why technically missions were never really meant for Playlists as the person that hosts will always win.

Something new I discovered - starting a Casino Heist finale with preset CEO/MC outfits tends to override mission-specific outfits, as well as applying those to your "associates."

Mind you, this was the aggressive approach, so I'm not certain what this would do to Big Con outfits.

Would be cool if everyone could wear Defense outfits during the Aggressive finale. Would fit with the heist anyway.

That's not true. The person who ends up first after the first mission wins the playlist.

Because almost no randoms know how to open a 60 ton swiss door, let me complete this for the benefit of the populace etc

The laser, just give it full beans until it gets 80% hot, then lift, then repeat

The drill, give it full throttle all the time, and it's the position of the drill/L thumbstick that matters. Slowly penetrate it, as if you were making love to a beautiful woman or man, no judgment here. 1st plate is approx 25% forwards, etc.  Back off if the temp spikes.

Better instructions welcome 👍🏻

As Lester says, the hotter the beam the stronger it is, so you're faster if you keep it around 85% by tapping the drill button.

I've never noticed you can see and kill enemies from a different floor in the submarine duting Bodgan's finale.

@REXX doesn't the amount of kills, deaths, and whether you were alive when the mission finished count towards higher points in a contact mission playlist?
