I discovered you can buy shoes in Ammunation about 1 second ago

You know you can swap lock-on targets with L1/LT on the buzzard or jet? or that all helicopters can float on the sea surface?

I've just discovered this morning that you can buy shoes at Ammunation...most of you probably know this and even more probably don't care...I don't even care apart from the fact that I never knew this

There are dudes in the casino wearing suits and canvas shoes.

But when you try to equip the canvas shoes while wearing a suit....your pants turn into joggers.....

Not standing. The Phantom Custom seats 5. Two inside the cab, and three people can sit on the back. They're exposed to bullets and they'll go flying if the truck overturns. I haven't tested if they're immune to explosions, but that doesn't surprise me at all.

The Hauler Custom doesn't have the exterior passenger "seats" though.

The Benny's Banshee 900R & Sultan RS frequently used by the Kkangpae to chase the player in specific Vehicle Cargo/VIP Work missions, use liveries to mimic the designs of certain vehicles from earlier Fast & Furious films.

Fun little detail, I only just noticed. ;)

Much like the Phantom Wedge, the Phantom Custom has 3 seats in the back, that allow players to equip heavy weapons, like MGs or RPGs. As the game consider the seated players within the vehicle, the explosion resistance of the truck protects the players. Bullets and tilting, not so much.

There are a few fitted suit pants, like ten or so, that'll work with canvas shoes (and most other shoe styles). Anything that ends with "Regular Suit Pants" from High Life Update will work. Same with the "Continental Pants", "Shiny Pants" styles and the single "Gold Print Pants" from Finance and Felony (but not "Continental Slim" or "Fitted Shiny Pants"). You're limited to a few basic colors pants though (black, navy, red, etc.) and Rockstar's color matching is a mess.

The fitted pants to shoes is weird with most of those styles being locked to certain colors of Oxfords and Slip-Ons, but not others. None of the Oxfords from the two Valentine's Day sets work. The Oxfords from the Business Update work with them, but not the Slip-Ons from the same update. The pants lock even stops you from going barefoot in those styles.

Surprisingly, not even the spectators notice an unknown individual hopping into a vehicle right in front of them.

The spectators actually start cheering when you get in. Presumably they assume you're a replacement stunt driver.

I always switch to my Speed Racer costume when this mission pops up. Except for the one going through the Vinewood sign. Much more efficient to quickly cargobob it since you're on ahigher elevation, and canmake a beeline to your garage from there.

There's often 2 of them in SP and the gates are usually closed.

This is the house where the assault rifle pickup is, in the gazebo at the far end of the back yard.

I'd regularly mow them down while driving in to get ammo.   😀

Just noticed that when buying 50k worth of chips at the cashier, you can hit the Y button for max chips instead of scrolling all the way up to 50k.

After 6 years of playing, last night my friends and I discovered that the flare gun will cause missiles to veer off towards the flare. I was flying one of the "cessna" type planes with one friend riding shotgun. We had another friend in a buzzard randomly firing missiles at us for fun, no real intention to shoot us down (he couldn't lock on since I activated CEO mode and he was an associate). My friend riding with me was firing his flare gun out the window and I looked back to notice a missile turn away from us and towards the flare. We were just goofing around and discovered something that has been in the game for a long time.

That may be, but  I didn't know that feature existed until now (which is kinda the point of this thread). I've never been in a situation to use the flare gun (as I'm usually flying, in a private session, with no one trying to shoot me down).

In (almost) six years of continuous play I genuinely did not know that you can dodge taxi fares.

Found this out a few days ago when Scarlet joined me in session, got a cab up to the casino, hopped out a little too enthusiastically and got the cops called on her.

What then ensued was five solid minutes of chaos, gunfire and a grossly uncoordinated getaway in two hastily stolen cars leaving a trail of destruction across Vinewood... over a matter of less than 100 dollars.

Next time i'll pick you up myself and prevent WW3 goddamit

I've been playing just as long and only found out about this early this year.

It's a great help against MKII's!

I found this out when doing the mission where you have to blast the enemies in the woods around the Altruist camp.

They fire flares until they run out.

Once one of them fired a flare at my helo, I wasn't trying to avoid them (they shoot them at you) and I blew myself up because the missile followed the flare back to me.  😮

You have to keep slipping around side to side to avoid the flares.

Wait, this works on non-homing missiles too???

I'm not a hundred percent sure. My buddy didn't say if he was firing the homing or non-homing, I just know that since we were in the same organization, the heat seekers wouldn't be able to lock on to me anyway.

It should logically only work for homing missiles, but I'm not sure about R*'s version of logic...🤔

Thing I didn't know:

I was doing a nightclub sale tonight and it took me to the farm in Grapeseed.

Apparently the hay bales in the field are movable.

They're VERY heavy, but they do move if you hit them with a vehicle.

Only on homing, any type of homing though.
Been doing this for years, works great if you're fast enough, shoot a flare forward and sideways or up when their missile gets close, jump out vehicle so they cant get a new lock on, minigun or w/e your preferred on foot counter. The flare thing is also why i prefer micro smg inside vehicles over that rapid-fire-pistol thing, because flaregun is right next to it.

OT: Uhhm, i didnt know people didnt know the above, how do you people even deal with mk2's? 😛

Before this DLC granting the riders immunity from on foot players, I'd bail whatever vehicle I was using at high speed, then cold clock them with my Revolver with incendiary rounds, especially aircrafts(in fact, I'd bait them in to shoot my aircraft then I would jump out, pull my parachute and clock them with my AP Pistol while parachuting, like a goddamn secret agent).

Now, the only thing left that I can do is bring out my Stromberg and Scramjet.

Vigilante works well because they don't see it coming and you can boost underneath them to defeat incoming missiles.

Not 100% sure about this, but so far it's been solid:

On my second character (which I use as my main one now) I followed the standard procedure as we all know, and then decided to see if I could fill the warehouse completely with top range cars to await the next I/E bonus week.

So I exported a standard range, then sourced cars using the TByte until I got another top range, then repeated the process, the same when I got to the mid range cars.

I ended up with 37 top range cars, but every time I sourced a car after that it was 80% standard range, 20% mid range, never a top range car again.

This happened about 30 times before I just gave up wasting time trying.

This week I've been messing around with my first character trying to fill his vehicle warehouse with top range cars.

I have sourced the usual 12 top range after having 10 standard range and 10 mid range.

Now the problem is I sold a standard range car and sourced cars 8 times and it has been the same standard range car every single time, which happens to be the standard range car I sold (Banshee 900R).

I believe R* has patched car sourcing so that you always get the same cars now.

I'll try again, after sourcing the Banshee and leaving it to see if any top range cars can be had over and above the usual 12 to fill the rest of the 8 vacant slots in the garage and report the results.

Anyone have any relevant info?
