Ordered a Penetrator due to it being on sale right now. I had just sold a car and had no PV out but for no particular reason I opened the vehicles section of the interaction menu to see if I could request a PV. To my surprise that actually was an option, I selected and used it and it seemed to work. I thought maybe I'd get the last PV I used (the one that I didn't sell) but instead of that my brand new Penetrator was brought to me.

Always thought that you had to wait until the notification message for the thing to actually be available. Not sure if this is normal or a bug or something, but I had no idea you could request the vehicle you just bought before the game told you it had been delivered. Going to try it out with the other vehicles I'm buying later on during this sale.

Maybe. But perhaps this has been around since forever and I'm just one of the last people to find out? xD

I was curious though. So I drove it up to the garage where I had it delivered to, parked it outside and went in to see if there was a copy car or something, but nothing there.

It looks like the notification is just kind of meaningless if you request it after buying and that's all there is to it. Worked again with the second and last car I bought today.

Another little thing. It doesn't REALLY fall under what I didn't know but I can't think of a better thread for it. I just went back to story mode and got treated to a sequence where Michael was mouthing off to (I guess) a park ranger or some guy. He walks away. Because I'm going to stop playing anyway I fire off a round randomly into the road and this guy turns around and comes at me.

I aim my pistol at him, which is enough to make most unarmed NPC's stop dead in their tracks before they turn around and run the hell away.

But not this guy! He keeps going and takes a swing at Michael. I shoot him in the leg and he goes down. Gets back up again and repeats.

I shoot this guy in the leg FOUR times in a row and by now I'm already getting shot by cops that have shown up. He doesn't freaking quit! No matter how many bullets you put in his legs, as long as he doesn't die it simply becomes his priority to beat the crap out of you. The cops kill me as I see him getting up again to take a run at me.

That reminded me of this collegehumor video:

Trackers are what make your car impervious to upside-down explosions. Lost a fully modded Futo because I skimmed over the tracker.

Armor increases the height the car can fall and land on its roof without exploding. Exceptions are most if not all special vehicles, both Insurgents and the armored Kuruma. Those can fall any height and not explode.

Well, in my experience, I've always been blown up by landing on the roof in an NPC car, but not with a car which has a Tracker fitted. This does include Pegasus Vehicles.

You can try it out yourself! :D Take an NPC car, add 100% Armor on, drive off of a cliff, and land on your roof. You will most likely blow up no matter what. If you try this out with a Personal Vehicle, it will simply not blow up; no matter how much you try. Sure, you will dent it and make it smoke a lot, but it will never instantly blow up.

ok, this is the info i needed, would test tomorrow using a common car like the asterope.

would test landing on roof with no armor/tracker, landing on roof with 100% armor/no tracker and finally landing on roof with tracker but no armor.

finally got to test this and its true!😱

used a weeny issi jumping off the top floor of the airport multifloor parking.

no armor/ no tracker = BOOM

100% armor/no tracker = BOOM

tracker/no armor = NOTHING

really surprised, always thought armor prevented this kind of stuff!

nice find!👍

Sorry, it has a tracker already

Some say, it just falls to pieces in front of you if you remove its tracker.

Apparently it does regardless if it has a tracker or not

Honking the same horn in the same Ruiner mid-air sounds an actual horn. Which isn't even electronic-sounding. What a missed opportunity.

I found out yesterday you can use the little car washes, not just the main one near Benny's. 3 years.

TBF I don't give a f*ck about them, but there's still stuff I haven't found out.

I use them all the time, makes your car very shiny and perty:) Edited by hookitandbookit

In the biker "protect targets" work, you can lock onto the targets with a Buzzard:

Even got someone who was standing near one of the targets too here lol:

Kind of nice to be able to use the Buzzard from a proper distance. Helps you stay out of the way of the small weapons and even homing launchers too. Plus with it locking on, and not being stuck to just being fixed forwards ... I don't know, was just quite nice to fly in it and have it actually feel like it's powerful (and not just against weak players).

The Buzzard can lock on to anything "unfriendly" since...ever!?!

Enemy AI yeah, though I didn't expect it would with that one - since it makes things ... Well, quite awkward for the guys trying to protect lol.

But then, they can lock onto me, so me locking onto them's not so bad I guess.

Did you know?

The biker businesses interiors is actually located under the docks. In fact, all interiors without windows are located someplace under the map.

If you hold down the Horn button while in an emergency vehicle and the siren is on, it will change the tone/type of siren for the time it is depressed,

3 other players in the Pac Standard Avi setup didn't know they could hide in a bush to lose a wanted level, so I thought I'd post on their behalf.

Two of them beached a boat on a deserted island and were swarmed by cops., they kept yelling at me to drop off Avi ASAP but I wasn't even close so as soon as I saw the stars flashing on my screen I told them to blow up the cops near them, then run around until they saw the cops 'vision cones' and hide in a bush in stealth / crouched mode.

Worked like a charm and they were all amazed that it worked at all.

Also works great in Extraction as absolutely everyone expects you, as the target, to be running out in the open like an idiot. No one suspects that the target can be hiding in a bush.

You can get a hooker in the ruiner 2000 if you do a jump, land next to one and then use the horn before the jump recharges.
