Have they changed the handling of the Comet?

 

It handles MUCH better now than it used to be, the car is actually raceworthy now.

 

Although I have to say, it's tail happy handling is what made it fun to drive

Could be that they gave it a downforce multiplier when the retro came out. Worth checking out. Someone able to see it in the files?

Downforce multiplier is only available to the Comet Retro, I'm talking about the modern Comet(the one in my sig).

Yeah, was aware that you were talking about that Comet:) Was just thinking that R* having given the modern Comet the downforce multiplier (by mistake) would be a logical explanation to the difference you described. Though maybe they even made some other changes in all cars, which are only really detectable by feeling in some like the Comet.

I even invented a game called 'dude, where's my car?'. Simply drive to a large highway intersection and order your personal vehicle. After you request vehicle, change your view to looking straight down on your character, and face away from the road. 9/10 times, your mechanic will leave it relatively close.

The X80 has a rear spoiler that flips up when braking that also consists of 2 separate flaps that flip up when turning right or left, respectively.
