Things you didn't know about GTAO until now

I just found this out.

When driving the undercover buffalo (from hack and dash mission) when you have your siren on you can change the sound while pressing down on R3, there are two different sounds you can make.

I havn't read all 14 pages but in 23 days playtime its the first time I've noticed this.

Been that way in cop vehicles in GTA's since San Andreas

I hate to add to speculation, but I saw a 'Opening Soon' banner at the casino. Unless that has always been there? I don't know.

Its always been there unfortunately... I'm staying really hopeful that they'll open it though...maybe they're going to save that feature for as long as possible because it will be huge.

I just finished a battle out near Trevor's air strip and decided to take a picture of my car against the awesome sunset. I play with music turned off because I'm tired of hearing the same songs over and over... and I noticed as I crept to a stop to get into the perfect spot that a fan turned on. I thought it was my PS3 at first, but never heard the fan sound like that, so I adjusted the camera around and sure enough when I positioned the camera around by the engine bay, the fan sound was louder. Then after about 30 seconds, it shut off again.

I think you can drop them like any other weapon.

I noticed 2 references in story mode about your Online character.

First one was Franklin talking to Lamar, he said something to Lamar about stealing a gas truck, which is referencing an Online mission that you have to do for Lamar.

Second one was Lester talking to Michael. Michael asks if Lester knows anybody that would be suitable for a heist, and Lester says 'I've been working with someone, but nah they are to unpredictable'.

could this mean that heists are never going to find their way into gta online?... that the online characters are so unpredictable that it would be too risky for a heist?

Well in Vigilante mode in the III-era games, you'd get in a cop car, start the mode, and blips would appear on the map showing criminals you had to neutralise. The red dots are the same thing. They're targets for vigilantes.

You can extend your characters emote animations by double clicking them either in the pause menu (hover over emote e.g. jazz hands and double tap A or X ) or just press both the analogue sticks in twice. By doing this you will have a different animation from the original emotes. It also varies with gender!

I don't think this has been mentioned. Bunny hop in to one of the open carriages of the train on a bmx and stay on the bike. Others may know why, but it seems train travel may either not be separately recorded or the game thinks your moving normally on the bike(you are still on the bike). In any case the distance is added to your bike mileage.

You can drop the jerry can and shoot it and it will explode. Also you can shoot it while someone is holding it to the same effect. Drop a grenade thru the weapon wheel and shoot ot ot will explode

Close to the casino area. A while back I wanted to put a soccer ball in the truck and take it to the field but it kept despawning

The e-brake ingame works like one in real life. If you're on a hill and stop with LT you'll continue to roll when you let go. But if you hold down RB or A for a couple seconds you'll pull the e-brake and stay in place. I only realized this just a few days ago.

I thought he was talking about the one at the university in Richman, but after I checked it out again, it isn't a soccer field, but just a race track! Oops. I gotta find this field now. NM, been there.

This another example of a wasted option in this game. I'm assuming gamers were supposed to be giving eachother weapons and such in MP because of this drop function. But of course it never came to be because everyone owns everthing in the game already.

We can drop our weapons and ammo on the ground, but we can't put custom tires on stock rims, or remove bulletproof tires. wtf? And repairing a crumpled wreck cost $414, but $12,000 to replace at MM.

Good thing they still have the ATM's in the GPS menu! What would I do without it!!?

i read a good argument against the online casino; because of the cashcard it would basically be a realmoney casino, and therefore gta would need some kind of a licence, since its also worldwide, it would be very difficult to get. they might be able to do it with limited bets, maybe.
