Things you didn't know about GTAO until now

The one where you have to be on the vehicle when time runs out (I forgot the name) is always a Faggio or golf cart or something equally frustrating to drive. So yeah do the first, not the second.

 

The exception for me is the one that starts at the golf course with a cart, because you can have some fun in the local alleys with that.

If you're in a mission and you have to get a NPC to a destination, DON'T use the pilot in the Merryweather heli pickup service to get you to your destination, as soon as you jump out to parachute down to the ground the NPC also jumps out and simply falls to his death because he doesn't have a parachute.

why don't you just land the heli??

I always go to smoke on the water or the Braddock weed farm in passive mode if I wanna roll one IRL

Probably not new to anyone else, but eating snacks mid mission can be horrendously slow, but if you aim a gun and eat them its much faster..

I encountered a cop car roaming around in an invite-only session. Never seen that before. Maybe it's because I rarely ever play in invite-only sessions?

You can get high to the point you end up in the hospital. You have to toke like 25 times I think but eventually you get sent to the hospital lol.

I've played Chopper Tail loads of times and never seen thisNo. I take the right on the exit of the house, go over the hill, then you should be on the route 68. Her appearance changes from time to time. I tried looking up Chopper tail on Google images in hopes of finding an image that shows her on the bike but ended up coming across an image from her wiki page.

Yeah the radio is synced. Often I hear my buds starting singing along to the song that I also happen to be listening to.

 

Also, it becomes pretty obvious now with the Lowrider Update. Get a bunch of people opening their trunks and playing the same station.

If you've heard people verbally confirm they're hearing the same thing as you then there's the proof then. The latter is what previously happened, but you'd hear one song and your friend would hear another. It pretended to be synced, but wasn't

Yeah happens alot like right after respawning into freemode from missions. I'll hear someone singing/humming along to a song and we get a little chuckle because we all were listening to the same tune.

 

 

The only way to test it would be to get 2 people both listening to the same radio station, and tell each other what song is playing over headset or text.

 

I should be able to test and confirm this too - I have access to two consoles and copies of the game in close proximity.

 

Sorry this didn't come earlier - had a really busy week.

 

I can confirm the radio stations are sync'd up in GTAO sessions - see the (very shaky) vid clip below. Two separate accounts on XB1 - One player is in the Dominator, the other on the PCJ600. Both radios are set to the same station and are playing the same song.

 

 

Ironically, there's no audio in the clip - the phone is old, I have no tripod and there was too much background noise... so I brought up the Radio wheel to show what song is playing (in this case it was Walking Into Sunshine by Central Line on Space 103.2) What I can tell you is that there was about a second of delay between the two consoles, and that the DJ doesn't always say the same thing. When testing with Radio Mirror Park, DJ George delivered different lines of dialogue on each system between songs.

 

So there we go. A little bit of pointless info, two days late - but still, there's the proof.

Got to admit I have never seen or heard of her in Chopper Tail before, I'll be on the look out next time

 

She's really slow and will almost never catchup to you. I'm not sure if she turns on the sirens or not. But that's why many people don't realise her.

Well I've finally accomplished one of my many goals I set out to do.

 

I shot the train driver who drives the train around paleto bay and what not, He does die. But the train must have auto pilot or something cause it just keeps going, I wanted to hi jack one but I can't since it never stops. I followed it in my bobcat even going ahead of it to make sure the NPC driving wouldn't respawn, Didn't stop.

The train will stop in online if your at the refinery east of the wind farm, you can snipe him but he'll start driving again as if he's still alive.

In the Scope out setup, if you run over a NPC, Lester and Paige will get worried whether the NPC would call the cops or not. One of them will ask if he/she thinks the NPC will call the police, then the other will answer saying it didn't look upset and therefore wouldn't call the cops. I'm curious to know what they would say if you run someone over a second time.

To the people asking about the music, yes it synchronizes in each lobby, you can test this by getting two or more lowriders (with upgraded sound systems), getting out, popping the trunk, turning the engine on and choosing the same radio station

On the subject of Chopper Tail, I always thought it was one of those missions where the time of day and weather were locked, to midday and clear, but when I set it up the other day it was hammering down with rain.

 

I do this mission all the time, often because if I'm having a car meet with friends it's a good one because you're guaranteed good light and you may as well get paid while you're doing it. But the rain confused me, I don't think it's ever rained for me during that mission. Is it just a coincidence it's always been sunny or was the rain a bug of some sort?

People on PC will tell you bullsh*t on this but the curb feelers on a few low riders which is a customization you can select, despite the fact that they may not be fashionable , DO IN FACT SERVE A PURPOSE.

 

If your using a controller with dual shock I think it's called and you come too close to the curb with the curb feeler modification on your car the controller will start doing the vibration action letting you know you are getting close to the curb.

 

It's like training wheels for people that are new to driving low riders. Keeps me from scratching up the bottom sides of my car.

Same thing happens with the Metro train driver; he'll sit there and patiently wait when something is blocking the tracks...but shoot him (or even aim a gun at him so he can see you), and the train will move ahead at full speed.
