You know you can swap lock-on targets with L1/LT on the buzzard or jet? or that all helicopters can float on the sea surface?

 

I'm surprised that looking at other posts this appears to be genuine. I actually thought this was a joke so that people would kill themselves! Interesting...

During Criminal Damage (and perhaps others) there is a cool down on Pegasus vehicles.

 

 

Crashed my Savage 1 minute into CD and they wouldn't let me call another for a few minutes, 5 I think.

Yup this has been established so people can't exploit destroying Pegasus vehicles

Not all helicopters 'float' anymore.

 

The annihilator is the only helicopter that floats really well anymore.

 

Mavericks froggers and the swift have a magnetic pull under the water now.

I ask because I was piloting my Swift Deluxe on some rough seas just the other day. Doors were closed and I remained above the surface as usual.

 

 

Also: the cargobob seems to be broken. I have been automatically dropping cars beyond a certain altitude lately.

I had that last night on American Exports! when carrying the container back to lesters I flew through the power lines (you have always been able to pass/fly through them) but this time the power line came in contact with the hook created a spark and dropped the container into the spill way/aqueduct thing (no actual visual physical contact). I assumed it was due to missions reverting to old states and power lines where a thing back then... never thought it was a height issue good thinking.

Apparently fire fighters aren't really fire proof like originally posted in here, unless it's the ones on the fire truck only. went into a fire station and shot all with a flare gun, they all died right away

Im not entirely sure what choppers float and which don't anymore except for maverick (sinks like lead) and the annihilator (rubber ducky)

The military base shows up on the map after you've taken a Laser...I'm presuming there are other circumstances like maybe calling Pegasus for certain vehicles...don't know.

Something I noticed a while back but forgot about until the other day.

 

The dubsta 2 has a weird render(?) glitch. If you walk away from the back of the car and rotate the camera so it can't be seen and then walk toward the rear of the car you'll notice the spare wheel carrier has a convex shape and is quite reflective (the ground, lights etc). Once you get close to it the carrier 'pops', the convex shape goes flat and it is now less reflective.

 

You should see it in this video, it 'pops' just after I stop walking

 

 

 

Don't have access to X1 or PC versions, so I can't check if they do it too

New thing i just found out.

 

If your ever go to the LSC by the train tracks you'll know that in free roam sessions sometimes griefers wait at the top of the ramp you go up and down to get into LSC to purposely explode your car. Mainly because they're armored douche bags in cars who know you don't want to pay 16k to blow up their armored tin can.

 

SO, when you exit if you go on the train tracks heading towards the garage door you'll notice a patch of green grass on the right hand side maybe 15-20 ft away on the side of the tracks, turn onto that grass and keep going and you will see a ramp that looks like it's made of a wood sheet, it will take you onto the main road, small little bunny hop jump onto the road but you'll get a head start on them and the odds will be more even.

 

That's all for my new discoveries.

I've had problem with mission too. The container had dropped twice in the same mission.

I had no idea! I'll look out for that one. The one in the movie studio is a Vindicator, in case anyone doesn't know and fancies a go. It's the reason I ended up buying one.

"Moving Target" - where you have to deliver the vehicle somewhere - generally features interesting, fast stuff. The one where you have to be on the vehicle when time runs out (I forgot the name) is always a Faggio or golf cart or something equally frustrating to drive. So yeah do the first, not the second.

 

The exception for me is the one that starts at the golf course with a cart, because you can have some fun in the local alleys with that.

 

ETA - 'Hold the Wheel' is the sucky one

Yes, I like the golf caddy one too. Slow vehicles are sometimes surprisingly good fun to drive, and escape other players with. Not a tractor though. F*ck that tractor.

i didnt know you could hang on the dodo's side. and if the pilot does a loop, you fall off

 

 

I flew a couple of players in a mission on a Dodo and didn't do a loop, just took off and they fell off. It looks like the plane should be able to seat 4, but I guess not and they can only hold onto the sides ? any tricks in keeping them from falling ?

I think the only way to not make them fall off the sides is to not go to steep, just stay as level as possible

 

I'm totally doing some off-the-radar drivebys with a mate later.

Yeah, as level as possible. don't think you'll fall off then.

Used it in a missions once. Went from LSIA to the Alamo Sea, no problems. My friend took off after killing the guys and took a sharp turn, I fell off. :S

When you get killed in free roam you drop a whole round of ammo of the weapon you were holding. I just realized this when losing like 400 combat mg bullets.

It sucks especially when you are using the grenade launcher, you lose 10 grenades so with only 2 deaths, and possibly only 2 actually used, you'd have lost them all. It's ridiculous.

There was a time when dying with a minigun in hand would bring the ammo count to zero.. it's been fixed for some time now..

I've been chased by a cop on her bike in the mission Chopper Tail. I've never seen that before. And it wasn't on those highways where we usually see them parked on the side of the road.

It has a higher top speed than the regular Dukes which is kinda strange. It actually has more power than the regular Dukes but isn't as quick through the corners since its heavy asf.

Wow really? Did you do anything specific to make this happen? I've played Chopper Tail loads of times and never seen this

 

I knew about this long time ago. She is parked on the right side as you come down the curved road leading to the left . I always run her over before she can even start her engine.
