Things you didn't know about GTAO until now

I just found this out.

When driving the undercover buffalo (from hack and dash mission) when you have your siren on you can change the sound while pressing down on R3, there are two different sounds you can make.

I havn't read all 14 pages but in 23 days playtime its the first time I've noticed this.

Works with all emergency vehicles. You can also double click the left stick when the sirens are off to make a few unique short chirps

 

 

*On a side note, the FIB Buffalo and Granger can be found at the large satalite dish array near Sandy Shores between the hours of 9-11 AM

there's no way to remove blue job markers from the game. never tried to before "undergound shootout" placed the marker at the entrance to to a tunnel.

I actually didn't know jets had explosive bullets until recently. Me and a couple people were driving around on the beach and this guy in a jet kept flying back and forth shooting at the ground and blowing everything up.

Was cruising around families territory looking for gang cars to acquire when I found this little Issi parked inside the cages. Looked around for ages but there was no way in, the roof was open but an invisible wall stopped you from dropping down to it. Wondering if it was just a prop I shot an RPG into the cage, it blew up just like a normal car. I was about to take another pic but I must have disturbed the gang members nearby with the explosion, and Lola was turned into cheese...

I don't know if this is true, but the recent DLC cars seem like they don't take any physical deformities from crashing..

Yes true in a sense but three guesses as to which race of people they choose as the hard labour!

 

I also heard that they were a wee bit underpaid.

No, he's right. The rounds fired by jet cannons are explosive, but don't have a very long range. It takes a bit of practice to be able to effectively use them against ground targets without crashing. Once you get the hang of it though there's not a single vehicle that you can't destroy with 1 pass - including tanks.

When you're a level 6 the only plane that spawns for you in freeroam is a Lazer...

 

 

Yesterday I started a 2nd character, still on level 6 as I'm working to max out the skill stats. The Flying & Driving ones are taking fricken ages, but I figured out how to increase the stamina and strength easily (they're maxed out now); when you get to level 5, host the mission "Ballas to the Wall" and play it solo, don't do the mission but go down to the beachfront and sprint up and down along the shops beating up the NPCs with your fists. The police don't turn up so you can literally do this for hours (or however long it takes to increase the stats), you can also shoot the NPCs to increase the Shooting stat.

 

Maxing Stealth stat was the easiest, press the left stick button and then put a rubberband on the stick to pull it forward+left so your character slowly walks in a circle, then just leave it walking until the stat is maxxed.

I started a new "crew" because I wanted a different logo and my other crew was dead LOL. I didn't realize that my Social Club account was not linked properly which was causing my crew rank to stay frozen and not rank up. Here is how I fixed the problem:

 

1. Quit GTA 5 and sign out of PSN.

2. Go to the Social Club and unlink your PSN account.

3. Sign back in and load up GTAO.

4. Press start and select Crews from the Online Menu.

5. Link your PSN to the Social Club. (Note, after this step you will notice that you have a crew tag but no letters/numbers)

6. Quit GTA 5 and sign out of PSN again.

7. Go back to the Social Club and reconfim your PSN.

 

Now your account will be properly linked and you will be ranking up in your crew again. I didn't want to write a complete wall of text, but feel to PM me if you have any questions. Enjoy!

You can equip a parachute and scuba gear at the same time, thus you can jump from a plane/helicopter, parachute into the water, then swim underwater indefinitely.

 

HOW TO:

-Aquire a parachute (usually default when you get in helicopters or planes)

-Fly to a place where you can aquire scuba gear (a submarine place or Dinghy place)

-Park plane/helicopter in shallow water, shallow enough so that you can take off again or go back onto land to take off (helicopter easier)

-Get out of helicopter/plane, get in submarine/Dinghy, get out (scuba gear now automatically equipped)

-Quickly get back in helicopter/plane before your character takes the scuba gear off (he does so automatically when you get to land)

-Your heli/plane is in shallow water so he shouldnt take it off straight away

-Take off. Now parachute is equipped and so is parachute.

Wwwhhhhhhaaaatttt , you can get scuba gear online ? Thought I'd read you couldn't use it in mp , any one use it ?

I've used it online, he's right you get it the way mentioned.

After my vehicle arriving for the last 8 months blaring BS X FM or whatever it is I am so happy I found this option.

Never knew about this place

 

 

Get a crop duster or a plane and fly around just under cloud level. It's amazing how many cool places there are in this game. I saw crop duster because it flies slowly and gives you an opportunity to scan the ground.

Also, make sure you get rid of those cigarettes and beer in your inventory as they're just in the way.

 

smokes yes pisswasser no... You never know when you'll need to drink 8 beer in a row to pass out and wake up at the hospital.

 

It's an invaluable tool for escaping griefers or when you're outnumber by a lot and stuck in passive mode with no escape.

Am I drinking wrong or something? Lol. When I drink the pisswassers I don't even get drunk (no blurry screen or different walk like you do when you drink at home) let alone pass out

 

 

Hold down X (PS3) until your player drops the bottle. About 8 should be enough.

I discovered you can do and hold a wheelie on a BMX for as long as your skills permits.

 

How?

 

Jump into the air, land on your rear tyre only, hold the analog stick down (in the direction that raises your front tyre) and tap OR hold down the accelerate button.

 

Not sure if this is common knowledge, but I definitely didn't know it.
