Of course not everybody with asperger's syndrome goes crazy but different people handle their problems in different ways. One thing I do know, he was massively unstable. Stephan90
I think most people whose social life during childhood was f*cked up, will struggle with it their whole life, because how you grow up has a huge impact on how you experience challenges and problems as an adult. So having issues with girls or other people in general can have little effect on one person but can also be devastating for the other person, just because people develop totally different valuation standards, which they don't manage to change later on, even if they want, simply because they are literally burned into their brain. If people in our societies don't start to look right and left for other people on their way to pick them up, if they can't move on, disasters like this massacre will always happen. It can happen everywhere Edited May 27, 2014 by Stephan90 johnny_zoo and Gnocchi Flip Flops

Maybe the problem you're having is that you don't know the definition of the word inevitable? Lots of people have Asperger Syndrome. Lots of people are/were bullied. Quite a few people have had to deal with both. Those people AREN'T certain to all do anything violent, much less this violent, because the combination of these two things does not make anything like this "inevitable." If you just mispoke, that's one thing. If that was just hyperbole, okay, sometimes that is difficult to pick up in text. If you actually believe that everyone with Asperger Syndrome who was also bullied is unavoidably going to go on a killing spree, well that's just offensive. PяopagaиdaIиc. But you do know that both can go hand in hand, right? As for that complete fail of a human being... Should've learned to overcome that horrible behavior instead! Now it's too late for anything, I guess... And R.I.P. for all the victims, no one of them deserved to be in that situation. Edited May 28, 2014 by Danz. With a combination of those two things, the end result was somewhat inevitable. I always find it amusing, and by amusing I mean utterly disgusting how people try to bring complex individual cocktails that cause a person to go off in the worst way imaginable, down to "He had this" "He did that" "He was that". Bill Gates is thought to have Aspergers, does that mean that all those diagnosed with Aspergers are going to end up starting up the new Microsoft or any successful business for that matter, No. That's like saying everyone with Vitiligo is going to become a world famous pop star. Individual characteristics and perceived ailments, (wether the in the aforementioned example "ailment" Aspergers even can be classed as such is up for debate, but that's whole another discussion entirely), don't define a person, let alone make them prone to commit acts of mass violence. Otter
The guy was a whole new level of troubled, that's for sure. I think the only thing we can take away from this, as a lesson, is that we need to be more accepting of mental health treatment. Sadly, it's also a profession mired by quacks and snakeoil salesmen, but we as a culture need to stop expecting men to - or shaming them in to - bury their emotions. Because having a good cry is a f*ck ton more productive than gunning down a bunch of kids. Mv6
Police should research what people write on the internet and arrest those who write disturbing thing to prevent them from doing their actions. Or alternatively, America needs to pull its head out of their collective arses and get some Gun control measures in place, Else this will happen year upon year upon month upon day. (its practically a guarantee that you are going to have at least 1 major spree killer a year, if not more... I bet its more, even in official figures.)Okay so he used a knife as well, but I have quite a good estimation that the FIREARMS this kid owned gave him the "power" if you will to act on his plans. America really does need Gun Control.Well, I hope you realize that he also used a knife......that's the problem now a days, everyone shouts out for gun control as if it's the magic solution to these incidents. California has one of the strictest gun laws after DC and New York yet that did not stop this basterd from killing people... I seriously doubt that the DROs application would have looked into his mind and would have read his thoughts... One more thing. The more attention these events get in the media the greater the chance that these things will happen... Mental health....that's the root of the problem Edited May 28, 2014 by Mv6

Mental health....that's the root of the problem I believe, although I could be wrong, that California has a mental health database that is screened when background checks are given. If that didn't pop-up a red flag it wasn't the gun control that was the issue. It was a fault in finding what was wrong with him mentally. Maybe it was because the police could only go so far when they questioned him after his parents reported their findings, or maybe it's because he kept it all bottled up and didn't tell his therapist. I think Otter's right in saying that the stigma needs to be taken away from seeing a therapist/psychiatrist or saying that you have a mental illness/disorder. I find it amusing how people go to far with what I said. I said he had asperger's, he was a narcissist, and he was just very awkward and socially challenged to begin with. He was bullied at younger ages. Just because I said stuff like that doesn't mean you have to flip sh*t and assume that I'm speaking for all socially awkward people, or for all people with aspergers. For f*ck's sakes calm down. I'd just like to say this though: nobody in the right mind does this kind of stuff. Obviously he was a guy with some issues. That can't be argued... @sweets: Don't be a dumb ass, obviously- you know f*ck it. You people have issues with reading comprehension. I'm out. True, Nutella is the commercial version of Gianduia which has an ancient and noble origin (1806): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gianduja_(chocolate) Not many people know that a jar of real Gianduia is a hundred times better than Nutella. Also very delicious is the Gianduiotto. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gianduiotto Vanilla/Nutella it can be done... homemade. Fuzzknuckles
Hey America, seeing as how your country is the only country that has these sorts of shooting on a regular basis (2 a month on average for the last 5 years, I believe), how about you stop dicking around and allowing people to own as many guns as they want, and actually try legislating and restricting the ability to buy guns and ammo as easily as it currently is? I mean, sure, guns don't kill people, people do. But giving them access to guns without much restriction is... really f*cking stupid. Whilst it's obvious that these people are all mentally ill, it's even more obvious that mentally ill people that have access to guns are WAY more dangerous than mentally ill people that don't. You're welcome, America. Peregrin Brandytook and Gnocchi Flip Flops 2 Signatures are dumb anyway.
