pathetictoaster
So, I've been running GTA4, with all patches, really fine for some time (30-60 fps) with several commandlines, including memrestrict. Set it to handle medium textures, ran fine, as I wrote above. Once, I forgot about memrestrict, set settings to High, and boom - RESC10 error. Tried changing settings back to medium, removing config files, starting new game, changing videocard settings, setting up new commandlines (norestrictions and nomemrestrict), downgrading/upgrading drivers, reinstalling the game, etc. Always getting that RESC10 error. My specs: Intel core i3 @ 2.93 GHz, nVidia GeForce GT 640 2gb ZOTAC edition (currently running on 335.23), 4gb RAM (3,93gb usable, approximately 512mb dedicated to system), Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit. Any help would be appreciated. Edited May 24, 2014 by pathetictoaster Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/711283-yet-another-gta-4-resc10-topic/ Share on other sites
Vanto
Try running GTA IV in Vista or XP compatibility mode. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/711283-yet-another-gta-4-resc10-topic/#findComment-1065458224 Share on other sites
pathetictoaster
Tried in XP SP3, didn't work out. Not Vista, though. Didn't try that one. EDIT: Sadly, Vista didn't do the trick. pathetictoaster
Seems like I fixed it - removed that config file (in AppData/Local/Rockstar Games/GTAIV/Settings folder), removed my current install, sweeped the registry for any signs of GTA4, and reinstalled... Now it's workiing again. Although, I'm getting error related to that date check, but that's the least of my concerns. But anyway, thanks for all the help.
