DYOM Website problems

Recommended Posts

Dutchy3010

Hi guys,

We received some messages about issues with the DYOM website. It is currently not possible to upload DYOM missions to the DYOM website. We found the problem and we will try to fix it as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding.

Kind regards,

Dutchy & Patrick

No, read my post, ony the missions which were uploaded since problem appeared are gone. Once problem is fixed, it will be like before, fine.

@Huzafa He meant all missions from website will be deleted.

So i just downloaded some new missions and it works again, but storyline archives still won't open, or it's because it was uploaded before creators took care of the problem. I guess it will be fully fixed soon.

The Issue should be fixed now: Uploading works again and newly uploaded files will no longer be downloaded as 0 byte files.

Sadly, the missions that have been uploaded while the site was broken are lost through a tear in the fabric of space-time. The authors will have to re-upload these missions. The missions concerned are those whose URL contains the numbers from #31997 to #32205.

The issue we faced was a limitation in the EXT3 filesystem our server uses to store the mission files. We painfully discovered that EXT3 only supports a maximum of 31998 direct subfolders in a parent folder.

Anyway, apologies for the inconvenience and have fun again :)

Okay, so I've tried downloading some missions and they are now the real files, not just empty 0kb files. But the blueprints still don't work, and the 'mission statistics' don't show up as well, even for those missions that were uploaded far before this bug occured.

Thanks for your report, blueprints and 'mission statistics' now work again also.

The mission statistics work. but the blueprints... A picture's worth a thousand words.

This is what I get when I try to see the blueprints of any mission.
