Which guns are the best for attaching silencers?

Recommended Posts

High_Pockets

I personally don't like the silencer or any attachment that is unnecessary and/or negatively affects stats like accuracy.

And this game, let's face it, you can get by without suppressed weapons, the gameplay doesn't give you a whole lot of tactical advantage in most situations to make it worth it.

So I decided to make use of my weapon wheel by attaching silencers to my sniper while leaving the heavy sniper unsilenced.

The pistol, the 1st gun you get from Lamar as a level 1... yeah I got a silencer on that one just in case I needed it to roleplay a mafia assassin or something, but that hasn't happened yet so...

Which guns do you keep equipped with silencers?

You can supress the heavy sniper? Didn't know that.

I silence all my guns, played a lot stealth shooter games, can't help myself

Ironically , my favorite gun to put a supressor on the auto shotty

Let me rephrase that.

Once I was able to buy the Heavy Sniper, I put a silencer on the light sniper, to give it a purpose since I probably would never use it again because the heavy is so much better.

If it shoots bullets, it's good to go.

Seriously though, if you're going for stealth then you should be going for headshots as well. That being said, it doesn't matter which gun you attach a silencer on as long as you pull a headshot.

HOWEVER, if you insist on knowing which guns are the best, then I suggest the guns with a high ROF to increase the chance of headshots.

Advanced Rifle

AP Pistol

Auto Shotty (You can't use this beauty without a silencer)

Micro SMG

@OP and Thread

You people DO realize that silencing a weapon reduces it's accuracy, damage and range.

My suggestion, anything with Assault in the title is made for going loud and doing raids.

Silencing Shotguns is completely idiotic because NPCs near you can still hear it. and you lower the already short range of the shotgun.

My suggestion is to silence any ONE Pistol except the AP Pistol.

Silence 1 of the Carbines and keep the other none silenced.

Silence the Sniper and not the Heavy Sniper.

the Assault weapons Non silenced

Shotguns Non silenced.

so in the end, you will have one short range, one mid range and one long range weapon that's silenced.

It's not like you are going to snipe people with the shotguns. There's a reason why the silenced Auto-Shotty is the most OP gun in the game.

I do the exact same thing. I do own every one of them just for the option, but for most situations online they're unnecessary.

My Advanced Rifle is my go-to weapon, because I find the diminished power and distance to be relatively minor. It's so versatile, man I love that thing. And the auto shotty is devastating with or without a silencer, but being that it's a close range weapon, the silencer does come in handy sometimes.

Ronzilla.

Advanced rifle and sniper rifle (not advanced) are the best weapons to surpress in my opinion. It's also good to have a surpressed weapon in each class. I also suggest surpressing the pump action shotgun and not the auto shotty. It's actually a lot of fun to use a silenced pump action, and you use the auto shotty to its fullest potential by not surpessing it.

I've silenced one smg, one pistol, one rifle, one sniper, no shotguns (no… just no)… just in case, but honestly most the time i've found it useless (I don't really do much DM)

I have the pump shotgun silenced because I love No Country for Old Men :D

Also I have the normal sniper, original pistol, Uzi, and the carbine silenced, basically one from each type of gun.

Don't presume to lecture us. By all means give your opinion, but from what I can see there are a quite few of us in this thread who are better versed in killing people in this game than you are.

I hope those stats are a second character, or you should be quiet immediately.

Starter pistol for sneaky headshots from behind, and also for practising freeaim with against my mates. PvP up at Trevors airfield is the fairest cause the cops won't show up to get involved.

Does the micro-SMG use a silencer when you use it for drive-bys or is it just silent on foot? I've never thought to check.
