Engine Upgrades Worth It?

Recommended Posts

Then what does Transmission actually do? That sh*t is so expensive in Online but only add a little chunk of bar. Is there any specific change outside higher acceleration?

Transmission makes the gears shift faster. This, coupled with Turbo, is a really important factor in your speed.

Turbo gives you a small boost every time your gears shift, so if you add transmission to the mix, you'll get boosts faster and more often.

Don't be fooled by the visual stats. Every single upgrade counts - even if it says you maxed out, you will still go faster with each new detail.

Yes!!

Acceleration is just as important as max speed.

but if acceleration is just as important, than what good does it do to add EMS upgrade 4 if my acceleration is already maxed?

It's not really maxed. The full bar represents 100% (what the benchmark for 100% is, idk), but if you look at the numerical values, not just the bar, you get some around 130-135%

The transmission makes your gear shifts quicker and improves throttle response

Don't forget to max out your braking as well. A car that can't stop is rubbish no matter how fast it is. I noticed the turbocharger and EMS upgrading really helps if you do racing with 4x4 vehicles.

Ok so maybe it's been asked already so I apologize in advance . So is it good to buy every ems upgrade? Or just ems 4? Does getting them all improve your vehicle overall? Thanks!

You only need the highest, it just replaces whatever other upgrade you have. if you buy different spoilers for instance you don't get 2 at once.

Congratulations on making me laugh though. (dont take it personally).

Just buy the last engine upgrade which is ems 4. You don't need to buy all of them.

In the early days, the original reason for the incremental upgrades was due to the long slow slog of trying win races to unlock each upgrade level.

But since we all learned long ago to trade race wins to beat this idiotic and frustrating unlock sequence, everyone now just goes straight to the top upgrade.
