I'm NOT talking about the small ramps that we all know! And I'm also not talking about the ''stairway to heaven'' or ''4 way madness'' kind of ramps! (NOT JUMPS, JUMPS, JUMPS, and also, NOT, White Cars Can't Jump.
I'm talking about the curved ramps that will make you fly over buildings, rivers, and onto bridges! Smooth mega ramps and half loops and what more?

Since most people didn't get what kind of races I was talking about, here's an example of a ''super ramp race''

These extreme ramps change races into rollercoaster rides. But what do you think of them?

I've played many, and personally I love them. But, fact is that they take away the competitive feel a little, I mean it's still a race, but with these ''super'' races it's more about the big jumps and ramps than it is about the competition.

So my question in the poll is, do you like them or not? And what are the pro's and con's?

Confessions, I Personally enjoyed playing Jumps Jumps Jumps.

But that's just normal ramps

Just because you can make them it doesn't mean you should make them.

Ramps are bad and ramp race creators should feel bad.

It's like chrome.

With subtle, tasteful choices it's a nice thing.

With excessive, poor choices it's a less than nice thing.

These 'races' such as all the sh*t #3PIC ones, are unoriginal piles of crap that are almost impossible, and f*cking stupid as all hell. Especially when there's multiple people jesus.

Go play Trials ffs

Worst races ever.

I would love to give them a slap behind the head and say:

What were you thinking? Oh wait, you can't.

I will admit it; those races with those giant curved ramps can be pretty fun. Still prefer well thought out races with lots of turns though.

I agree. I tend to avoid them as my racing vehicles are unarmored, so if I get knocked off a ramp or don't land properly, there will be an explosion.

I do enjoy races like Four Way Madness and Criss-Cross Dock Race.

Still, I'll take Downtown Underground or Greenwich Meantime any day of the week.

That's understandable as they've only been around for two months

If the jump can actually be made with a standard ride that's fine but the jump should be possible for all without gimmicks if there is only one way too land it ie narrow corridor...or some kinda gliding trick etc they kinda suck.....But I will admit the time and effort too make things should be applauded but it's a race not a stunt track. If you want too make a stunt track state that it's a stunt track.

Yeah but Four Way Madness and Criss-Cross Dock Race are not the kind of races I'm talking about at all, they are simple ramp races.

I'm talking about huge, curved ramps where you jump over the LS River or onto a tall building

People do not understand that wheels do not get traction in the air. 90% of the time, they dint know how to level their cars out, and a lot of them explode in a fireball. I drive around the ramps if possible. Jumps, Jumps, Jumps is an easy track to win at if you do that.

Talking of ramps.

I purposefully made the worst race I could possibly imagine called Stupid Race - or something like that. I've never hosted it, but it says 100% approval. Could be just one guy though.

It had ramps, off road sections, around the horsetrack, into oncoming racers, finishes with a ramp through the TV sign. Everything that makes a race bad, I put it in.

I'm expecting R* to verify it any day now lol.

You had them at "Stupid Race". If it doesn't get verified, it's only because you didn't make Utility vehicles the only choice for the race.

I don't mind them every now and then. I still think they're dumb and nowhere near as good as standard races, but I can appreciate that people actually put work into them.

Once you know how to control your car in mid-air, these races get really addiciting, the air time is just amazing. I ususally do a back or front flip or double flips or whatever, it's really fun.

By handbreaking in mid-air you can steer your car left and right without doing a front or back flip by the way. It makes it a lot easier!

I join a lot of random races lately. I don't really like those rollercoaster rides, but they are still way better than the "normal" custom races with 1 or 2 impossible jumps half way thru. (Or a random container in the middle of the road.)

At least with those rollercoasters you know what you get.

Its just another reason I stopped racing, GTA:O had such great potential at being an amazing racing game, but the potential got squandered starting with catchup, no penalties for deliberate collisions and plummeted to its death with the introduction of the Creator, and Rockstar seemingly only picking those races 12 yr olds enjoy to be verified. I guess ive just outgrown the target market.
