Why on earth would they -remove- all the clothing DLC?

I just started playing this month and found out that I missed a ton of content in the last DLC, namely a lot of clothing options, as well as the Roosevelt. There aren't a lot of clothing options in my opinion, so I'm a bit baffled that they would remove some of them.

Oh well. Here's hoping for more clothing DLC in the future.

I assume it's to keep people playing and coming back. Although I agree, the mobster suits should be a constantly on sale.

But heres my theory; Cash Cards. If content is only available for a short time people might not have the time to grind RR or complete jobs. So to ensure they get every piece of content before it's gone they buy a cash card.

Its to reward the early adopters and the power players. Sorry you were late to the party, but imagine how the person whose had the game since october, but has moved on feels every time they pop in the game and notice something they missed...they surely will play the game more often knowing there are some cool items they are missing out on.

None of the items will be purchasable with real world money nor will they make a return if you missed them... so I laugh at that cash card statement above.

I'm with the cash card theory, if you call something "limited edition" people will panic buy.

limited edition mate... it reward those of us that have been playing the game on a constant basis.

doing stuff like this not only keep people on the look for this dlc but also push for cash card as people would have to spend a lot of money to buy this items as they would only be available for this long...

Everything in GTA Online that is related to money has one and only connection with; Cash Cards.

Anyone can cry out loud and deny but the fact is just like that.

The Roosevelt, Sweeper, and suits WILL be back, I guarantee it...

It will be at or around the time that the Collectors Edition vehicles become available to purchase

...and you're clueless if you don't think that the "limited edition trick" was used for Valentine's Day, those Facebook games do/used to do it all the time, it was a monthly occurrence in games like Mafia Wars, FarmVille, etc.

The least that they could have done was make the hairstyles permanent.

I agree with this, rarely am I in the initial group who gets these special things, and I always was jealous but understood. Now that I have the Roosevelt, the gangster clothes and other things, I want them to stay exclusive as long as they can because dammit, I earned them.

Zorvaine is right though... the hairstyles should be permanent. Especially when bugs make us go bald as Professor X... I don't want to lose my favorite decoration.

Stop blaming everything on cash cards. I like having exclusive items for playing through events. Even games that don't sell cash cards do this. Its called making an item rare and we need more of it on gta.

I suspect that if they are available again, it will only be for the next (St) Valentine's Day.

That said, I think its possible and likely they'll return, but I'm not sure I'd be willing to bet on it.

I really wanted the Roosevelt, but I was about $5 short on a Cash Card, so I couldn't afford it and missed out. I still get to use it in races, and I accidentally won a world record on a track and got 1st place with the Roosevelt before. I was the only one in the race with it, and it hauled ass pretty well considering it's 100 years old. lol

Explain how it isn't...

Explain how "Hey everyone, hurry up and buy because they'll be gone soon!" doesn't encourage Shark Card purchasing to make it happen...and that Rockstar doesn't know this...

...and funny how it happened after everyone's glitched cash was taken away too, although not planned by Rockstar, I'm sure, it sure was the perfect situation for them

Of course not everyone needs to buy the cash cards to get the items, however, i think you misunderstood that cash card comment slightly...

i think this has to be the only time that I agree with the cash card theory because it makes complete sense. They put out certain items for a limited time, not everyone plays as much as others, they dont all have the time to grind missions for the cash to buy all the new limited dlc clothing and/or cars, so they choose to buy the cash card to ensure they can get these items before the limited time ends. Im not sure why people would believe this not to be the case.

I do like that they have limited content tho, it does provide a type of exclusivity for those players who play a lot and on a regular basis. If someone decides they want to take a month or two break they should miss out on content, players should not feel entitled to everything they missed

Didnt they have the double RP and money weekend just before this last DLC? Its funny how that happened too.

People cant afford the DLC stuff because they go mad with money the rest of the time.

Besides the content is free. People buying cash cards is totally their choice. Its not like you NEED them to buy the DLC stuff.

Yeah honestly I've never subsribed to the "Because cash cards" line of thought but it does make sense in this instance. It's not like they've done this often though, only once that I know of so far with the roosevelt and it's a bit annoying honestly. I didn't have room in my garage for one so I bought it on my second character but now that I have an extra garage I'd rather have it on my main character.

don't blame the weed because your were/are a loser. anybody remember that anti-weed commercial where two guys smoke weed and get munchies? they do that over and over again and the whole time a little girl is riding her bike in a drive-thru. eventually the stoners hit the girl playing in traffic and the commercial ends with smoking pot kills people. but the whole time im thinking where the hell are that little girl's parents? she is playing in traffic all day and nobody seems to have noticed or cared. why give me a hard time for smoking a joint when this little girl is being neglected to the point her life is in danger?

but on topic. when they gave you a very limited window to purchase very expensive in game items the point is to sell cash cards. this isn't a paranoid theory. why else would they do it? its sure isn't to reward you for playing. since you could have been playing since day one but had real life keep you from playing that weekend. too bad, you get nothing. if rockstar wanted to reward us they would have let it snow in game for more than one night.

he mean the exclusivity of the items forces people to buy cash cards because they can't make enough money in time to purchase them before they go off the market.

Holy sh*t... this is why these forums suck from time to time, because people like you, instead of putting something out there with respect "I know a lot of responsible weed smokers who have their lives together" jump on the old insult train and probably wonder why so many people seem like "assholes". It's because you just got real rude for no f*cking reason and people tend to get defensive about that. If you ever read anything I ever posted you would know i am a huge supporter of weed, I was was being facetious...

so that later on theres diversity in clothing? other wise everyone would possess the same clothes. o.o an noone could have any thing 'rare' or hard to get. which for a lot of people having rare/hard to get items is fun./ enjoyable.

it could have to do with getting people to impulsively buy if they know its limited. -though i think this has less effect then people seem to think it does.-

personally i like collecting things in games but only so long as it suites my tastes - but some people think they need to possess everything as a statement of social status or something.

having people with items others don't/can't get is a good thing in a game :p this is of course until i see something I want but can't get <.< . it allows for competitiveness in more ways then just killing each other -for those who like collecting. -like cars-

just wish there were more variety but i assume that'll come with more time.

I disagree. If I came on to see content all the time I couldn't get I would break the f*cking disc. Not getting stuff wouldn't make anyone(at least not most) keep playing. Most people can't play more than they do as it is.

I am not saying I agree with the statement before yours about the cash card thing either.
