Do you realize when your creation is cr*p?

When you create something with the creator, do you ever think: "Hmm... This creation is boring and bland."

or

"This thing has bad flow to it."

"Average players will be confused at this part or

just won't be able to handle it at all."

"Parts of this creation doesn't make sense and doesn't feel quite right..."

 

If you have had thoughts familiar to these ones, then your creation might just have what it takes to get R* Verified.

I've probably got half a dozen things saved in the creator, unpublished, because I didn't like the way they turned out and need to be redone.

I've created several things in the content creator and will admit that only one of them is good. Which is my Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway track. It's had a fair amount of plays/likes so I'm happy people are enjoying it.

Yeah I spent a while making a DM called "Noisy Neighbours" on some suburban street, I had high hopes that it was going to be good but after playing it with my crew it wasn't very good at all. I should delete it really.

 

I also made a capture that kind of sucked but I kept tweaking it and it's not half bad now.

 

I doubt anyone will bother clicking the link but my favourite things I've made are these DMs, Rumbling Rooftop and Tunnel of Love (Xbox)

 

I really need to tweak the pickups and spawn points on Tunnel of Love though, maybe make it a little bigger.

Haven't used it much. Made one called Exile On Main Street that I like very much. It's a muscle race mainly. Then I made one called Banking Vinewood or something. That is a crap one. You start by jumping off Maze, and then race to Vinewood.

I either realize it right away or after I've published and played.

 

If I realize it right away, the "concept/idea" just didn't work as well as I'd hoped.

 

In the instances where I've published and played, those are generally that I tried to go too big and it took forever to load (so people have dumped out by the time it loads) and then if they've dumped out you have a few players on a massive map.

 

Mostly, if I realize it's not working, it's early on.

Deleted like 20% of my jobs including my first 3 DMs cos they were sh*t. Got 40 active ones. Got about 5 that are spawn-kill heavy. All the good shooters love them, and the rest message saying its crap cos they keep getting spawn-killed so its no fun - One of the few reasons I do except getting a dislike.

 

Joined a random job last night. Hosted by a kid for 20mins with no kill limit, started with nothing but Jets and Miniguns in front of me - This is why people hate custom jobs. Keep it at 10mins max ffs.

 

I'm seen alot more threads on here that belong in the Content Creator section. Hope your maps have better placement.

I've been trying to make a map like the Nürgburgring, one whom you can test different cars and find out which one laps the fastest. Isn't there a Nürgburgring remake on GTA?

Yup, but the creator is on PS3 (the verified version slightly different IIRC) so if you're on Xbox, you can't get the 'real deal'.

 

(Unless I've got the consoles mixed around..)

Its all about placement. I like close quaters and no heavy weapons cause I don't like running down 2 and a half streets just to get RPG'd by some talentless f*ck. But for every one person that likes this there'll be ten that hate it. Like the dude that PM'd me last night to set it to owned weapons when he could clearly see several low levels. When I told him to bookmark it and run it on owned himself if he liked the location. He replied with "f*ck you"

 

I'm a legit level 200+ who's also a good shooter and I would pick Pistols and Pump/Sawn-off Shotguns over Miniguns and RPGs anyday. Don't consider mowing down low levels with guns they ain't unlocked yet fun or fair.

 

But as I said they'll hundreds of imbeciles who love minigun/RPGs/jet/tank DMs.

Yeah, all the time. It's mostly cause I'm trying to do more than the creator will allow.

 

Once/if a mission creator comes out I'll be able to make some great stuff, cause I just don't care about death matches or captures.
