Then one day I hopped in an NPC's car and had a 5000$ bounty placed on me. As you can imagine the other players swarmed on me like GTA fans on gamestop at release day. So here I am, DEFENDING myself from imminent death, and I am branded "Psycho" because I didn't want to stand there and die. Why should i be penalized for defending attackers trying to get a bounty? Now every time I start the game its out of my white dotted friends lobbys and into Insanity/Griefer towns with tanks on every other corner. And killing pedestrians? really?! who the hell am I supposed to kill then? Perhaps I'd consider playing missions if all of them didn't suck and payout next to nothing. Yes, this is a Rant. I am pissed off because I was excited about mental state only to be sodomized by it. Much like I expect the Heists to do. On top of which, Saints Row 3 was given out for free (First time playing it) And I think to myself, "How can Rockstar let a game like this MURDER them in character creation?" All the males look the same, with different skin tones (Usually hidden by suits), and the females look like Junkies with breasts starting on their fifth rib down. I feel they did an A+ job on single player, Aside from the fact that Me and 2 buddies can't run the town as Michael, Trevor, and Franklin Co-op style (LAME). I feel when it comes to Online they Half assed everything and dangle carrots like hiests over our noses to distract us from the fact that, while FUN as hell, its not what it could be considering this game broke WORLD record sales. They flash cars and new guns in our faces and lame clothes just colored differently, abismal haircuts with no real option to color them properly, No properties to own to generate an income, Crappy mission rewards designed to nudge you to buy shark cards, Protecting Tank griefers to do the same, so you can fight back, And by far the worst character customization in a mainstream game. Even Tony Hawks games did better. Oh and lets not forget the Freezing funtime that happens daily only on GTA. So I say anyone who is upset by the half assedness of Rockstar (who made damn well enough money to go whole ass) band together and raid their suggestion/feedback on rockstar support asking them why they cant put all that shark card money they earned to good use. They also usually have no friends because their personality is arrogant and utterly unbearable. Funny how hiding behind an internet connection inflates trolls ego's. "if you had any skills at all..."- oh...okay. how often has the entire lobby concentrated on you? its never happened to me and the only time ive seen randoms quit killing each other and concentrate on one guy is if hes one of those no skill clowns that uses a tank and then goes passive after you kill his tank. No one likes that guy and they will usually put aside their differences to concentrate on making that moron leave the server. Most people after me at one time was about 5 that were in the same crew and considering that I did pretty well. I wasnt mad and I didnt quit cause I started shooting a couple guys in the crew and they called in 3 more guys for help cause I was pwning just the two of them, lol! I couldnt kill them all every time, but i killed them more times than they killed me by the time it was over. It was actually quite fun. Usually there are only 1 or 2 guys trying to kill ya at any one given time. if you have a bounty and people are dumb enough to try and chase you for it sometimes there will be 3 or 4 after you but they always shoot each other as well and dont work together to get you so its really not that much harder. Youre only boned if they all show up at the same time on all sides of you cause it takes to long to turn around fast enough to get them all. I usually stand in the middle of a 4 way intersection with the sniper rifle and I can easily take out a few people after me. rarely are they smart enough to flank me and both be in a position to pop out of cover and shoot me at the same time. Usually they get in cars and try and run me over so i get them with the special carbine and roll out of the way. rarely will one come speeding out of nowhere and get me while i was sniping someone else and not paying attention. However, even though it is grand theft auto, sometimes I like to do other things besides have battles with other players. HAHA! no actually i havent, i quit playing EA games a long time ago, worst company ever.\ However in my experience they actually fixed the bugs rather quickly but they didnt support games very long and they are full of cheaters after about 6 months. Then they make a new game in the series every 6 months that is virtually identical to the first except for textures over the models and pretend its a whole new game. AFP Phat Packs Posted May 23, 2014 Share Posted May 23, 2014 Still on board with Mental State personally. I just don't think your mental state should raise when you kill the police or any NPCs. I also think it should raise a lot less when you have a bounty, because it's not insane to protect your life. I also don't think it should raise for taking a bounty, cause that's just silly. However I really enjoy having somewhat of an idea whether someone is going to shoot me or not when they drive up. Red blips I know not to trust. White blips I give the benefit of the doubt. I usually have a psychopath rating because friends will call me in for backup and I end up killing their griefers until they leave the session, and in the process of that I kill a ton of cops and NPCs. Doesn't bother me that my blip is red, sure most people want to come up and shoot me for no reason but I always sticky trap them, go get an F16 and spawn kill them for starting sh*t first without a good reason. Like I said I'm still enjoying this system, I feel like it's led to a lot less guessing as far as whether someone is going to kill you or not which is suited to my play style. I never attack anyone unless they give me a good reason - I feel like this system was made for players like me. Once it's tweaked, I think it really will improve the overall online experience.
