Just got put in the Bad Sport lobby due to reports.

So, I was killing this one kid and he suddenly came up with the idea I was invincible (Which I wasn't) and he began to blab on about it to the rest of the lobby and in a matter of minutes an inundation of reports came my way and a little blurb appeared in the bottom left corner of my screen mentioning that I've been reported.

 

What a load of bollocks, R* needs to develop a better system instead of just tallying up reports because most people in this game are irresponsible little kids.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the only way to get into bad sport these days is by getting reported frequently. I make it a personal mission to destroy at least 10 PVs per session, and I've not seen one second of bad sport lobby. Dude was butthurt because he sucks at the game. How pathetic.

you dont get bad sport from a few people reporting you for being a dick, it takes a lot and playing missions and stuff gives you a positive rating which counteracts the votes so clearly you are always an ass and deserve bad sport. I kill people all the time but if they are low level or unable to get any kills on me it quickly becomes boring and i move on to someone else. Ive blown up more cars than I can count. I also play lots of missions and I get good sport bonus all the time, haha!

Not OP's fault. He was just playing the game. If he targets the squeakers over anyone else then its the kids fault if he can't tolerate it because it just proves he is not mature enough.

I had some kid following me across the map. so I go down a narrow alley and drop a sticky bomb. he enters the alley and I pop the sticky bomb and kill him. I then go for my tank and wait. sure enough he follows me again and comes around the corner firing a machine gun. I blast him with the tank.

 

he then sends me a message about how he reported me for griefing and voted to kick me. this is why little kids shouldn't be allowed on the game. he follows me around, tries to kill me and then files false reports against me because he sucks at the game.

I get reported in missions allot for completing objectives.

Every thread i read about being sent to bad sport the OP always claims they did nothing wrong. Its always "all i did was kill some squeakers" (notice it's always "squeakers" in these stories) or "I only blew up one car". This whole "and then all his friends reported me and I was immediately sent to bad sport" thing is becoming the new "my little brother/ cousin was playing and hacked which sent me to the cheaters pool".

 

How many times does everyone in a lobby have a mike on and set to public and even if this did happen why would a entire lobby of people take instructions from a child?

Or better yet, why not just avoid the player altogether? Pretty sure you saw him on your mini map before driving pass him.

 

I'm also pretty sure you know how people play this game (shoot first / don't bother risking to see if their friendly or not).

 

You knew he was going to try to shoot and kill you. No one's fault except your own.

This thread really gives me hope that I can use reporting to actually hurt the f*cking assholes who go out of their way to kill me for no reason, run over me in Passive mode, and snipe me from out of nowhere. Not to mention dipsh*ts in tanks, Lazers and Buzzards who think that every white dot on the map is a bunny rabbit whose is part of their hunting quota. This is not Grand Theft Redneck Hunter. But it sure as hell looks like it.

 

I'm going to learn how to use the report button and use it often.

When you're spawn killing somebody, make sure they aren't in a lobby with a bunch of their crew members.

3 problems with this little "experience":

1. Targetting one player is poor sportsmanship and you do deserve time in the paradise of trolls. I have variety for my killings and griefing.

2. I doubt anyone will report due to one complaint publicly. Unless of course, you stumbled upon a game filled with the "squeakers" friends.

3. You have more chance of winning the lottery than coming across a lobby consisting entirely on people with microphones. I rarely meet more than 3 people per session with one.

It doesn't work that way. I've had many many people report me for going on tank rampages during free roam and I've yet to be placed in bad sport lobby because of it, kicked from sessions sure, but never more than that. U don't get put in bad sport for a session full of people reporting u once, it would totally invalidate the system. I call BS on his or the OP did more than he let on.

I'm glad the system works. I use it on Tank Griefers all the time but have never seen the results. Usually just telling my friends to do the same on open chat makes them move on though.
