33 here. Not as "mature" as some around here and I do use that term very loosely. :colgate: I also have been playing game since the mid 80's. First games I played was on a Coco64 (look it up if you dont know...). Its good to see some of the older gamers still playing and enjoying it. I know if I have my way Ill be playing for a long time to come too. Missus may have something to say about that however.

Having a read through this thread is a bit of a timewarp. Talking about pacman and pong, atari's ect. And a Foo.

Anyway Im always looking for other mature players to jump online with. Feel free to send me a FR or msg me your GT. GT is same as username.

42 here, so I guess I'm a Gen X as opposed to a baby boomer.

Got a 19yo son and 14yo daughter and I've told them that if either one of them makes me a Grandpa before I turn 50 there's gonna be hell to pay!

Miss Malevolent

Woah, how did I end up stumbling into the Oatmeal, canes, and hoverround convention?

Lol, just kidding. It's nice to see that it's not just teens and 20s playing GTA.

Cheers!

It's odd posting a Twin Peaks gif in a thread where the people might have actually watched the show when it was on air.

I remember it being on, but I couldn't bear to watch it.

I wouldn't call myself a baby boomer, but i am 43 years old. My first exposure to video games was in the 70's on a Coleco Telstar.

Later on had a Atari 2600,5200,7800,during that time i had a Intellivision (hence my name and avatar). i started playing GTA in the 90's with the very first one. i never looked back and was hooked. I sill play games with a passion to this day and i will never change i now collect classic game systems and play current games every chance i get.

You're a Generation Xer. I remember my Atari and my uncle's (65 and still games) Intellivision. Funny how far we've come in the gaming world.

I'm forty-one, and never will have the intention of giving up gaming.

DS Monkfish

Mid-20's and now feel sooo much better about playing games. Was wondering if there was a "limit", but now I feel I can play on.

To quote George Bernard Shaw: "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing". Best to carry on, all things considered!

damn, i thought i was the only one, turned 39 in february, but I still tell people I'm 21. It really does make sense that we are out there, because we are like the first video game generation.

Never never never let anybody stop you from doing something you love because they think you're too old. They're just jealous.

Anyway, growing up is for chumps.

Right on! If all I had to do was tend my veggie garden I'd just lay down and go peacefully. Gaming keeps me on my toes....you should see me jump when I get face blasted by a 12 year old with a shotty. Bless their little hearts........then ruthlessly gun 'em down where they stand.

I'm also 39 and have a Sabre, though my dd is the Vigero cuz I have one irl.

Still have my original Intellivision. Also the NES, SNES, and N64, among others. All of them still work, though I've had to replace my playstations and xboxes many times.

For the record, VC ftw.

Age is just a number it doesn't reflect the fire in your passion for something you love to do. I'm 52 years young

I'm probably the youngest guy in this thread at 27. I don't know how you guys do it. I'm already getting bored of video games. Partly because they don't make COD as good as MW2 anymore.

That's what I keep telling my wife but she still says that's an exit only.

I also got bored for a while, took a break for a couple years and came back to it naturally. Fear not!

I'm 50. FIFTY YEARS OLD! *high kick*

Seriously, yes. I'm one of the "olds" you may run into on the servers but emotionally, I'm your age and maybe less. It's sort of sad, for me at least, to run into guys my age who are all "I don't have time for those games" because when you read between the lines, they're saying "I'm far too mature and important!" Pffft. f*ck those people. For all the bullsh*t that gets talked about in these forums and EVERY OTHER GAMING FORUM EVER (auto vs free aim, campers, wall hackers, squeakers, etc., etc.,) it is STILL fun to play and meet people half my age, shoot the sh*t and have a blast. I feel sorry for people my age who can't let loose and experience gaming.

When you compare Grand Theft Auto to what we use to play when we were children (Pacman, Pong) then it should become very apparent why we don't fall out of love with Grand Theft Auto. I remember when Pacman was considered amazing, it had more than two colors!

One of the reasons I appreciate GTAV/O and the work that was done is because I played and remember the top down GTA's, or how I would have to blow into my NES to get it work, or how I wasted grass cutting money on a Sega Saturn.

Kids got it so good these days. Back in my day, our tanks ran on hardware, and there were no human players to grief.

Remember when Wolfenstein 3D came out and how it rocked our worlds? I just saw a demo of it on YouTube and almost gagged. But hey, that was just the beginning of what we have now. I can only imagine how much cooler gaming will be in the future.

LOL.. Yeah.. I enjoy video games more now... My kids do not understand why my goal is to beat a game, but you have a certain satisfaction in doing such.. Then when you add an online aspect, it just adds more reasons to keep playing..

Most younger people just do not have an extended attention span anymore..

BTW.. My first game I ever played was Frogger.. Games have come a long way

So how many of you have played these bad boys.....

Forget the DS, even the gameboy. Go back further than the Atari Lynx...

This was the pinnacle of portable gaming back in the day....
