Rockstar deranked me?

Yesterday, I finally achieved level 128, by killing a few fools.

 

Now today, just an hour ago, I got deranked to lvl. 123 and I got this message from Rockstar:

 

 

 

Now, to the stupid questions: Has this happend to anyone else? Has it ever happend before? Why did Rockstar only derank me 5 levels?

Well if you played FOS that's probably why if not then they made a mistake, but if so no big deal man 5 levels is nothing get that in a night.

1. Nah, I cheated back in the DNS days to achieve the tank I never actually use. I'm on Sexbox btw, no FOS for me.
2. I know. It's not like I feel sorry for myself. I'm just still curious why it's only 5 levels and not 127.

Their initial post about fixing RP suggested that they would go back to the point in time that you did the cheat and reset your rank and RP to what it was then. From what people are saying though, it sounds like they may be calculating how much RP you "acquired" and removing just that.

 

It may not be over though. You may have more to come.

They weren't able to derank you all the way because not even Rockstar can contain your awsomeness.

That seems fair. they took approx 130k of RP from you,

which, around the level to unlock your Rhino would have been about 7 levels worth of RP

If this is happening my level 190 friend should be dropped back to lv140.He doesn't like his level being that high.
