It's what convinced me to own a Dukes in GTA: 4 and own a Sabre Turbo, Phoenix and Buccaneer in GTA: 5.

 

All thats left is for the Dukes to be added and we can reinact this scene, Using the Topless Coquette and of course the beloved Dukes herself.

Muscle cars are incredibly under-appreciated in this game. They're honestly quite fun.

 

If it's not for racing I would ignore the Gauntlet (although fun it entirely lacks customization). The Dominator is a solid choice with a lot of options and it's really your only other "modern" take on the genre.

 

For me though it's either one of these:

 

A decent amount of customization and arguably the most fun to drive even if it's handling is subpar.

 

Loved it since GTA 4. Good customization and a solid balance of performance and handling.

As well as the gorgeous looks and the awesome noise of the engine, I absolutely love the handling, how you can get the wheels smoking round every corner, reminds me of driving the Dukes from IV.

I have the answer!

 

Ok, here's what you do... go to single player mode (because if you've completed the story, then your characters are rich and you can spend all kinds of money experimenting), and find one of the muscle cars you think looks good off the bat. Take it to LS customs and experiment around with the paint and wheels and all it has to offer first. Then upgrade it to the max and test drive it. (Do the visual upgrades first so you can appreciate the way it looks while your driving.) See how you like it, what you like about it and what you dont, make note of it, and then on to the next one. Dont save your progress after you do this, so you have all that cash to play with for the next car as well.

Plan on spending a bit of time on it, because... decisions, decisions. Once you've gone thru all of them, or find one that just hits you to the point that there's no more question, then go online and find the one you want.

I have all of them except the Voodoo, Gauntlet, Picador, and Hotknife (which I want really bad, but cant have because it's not available to me), and they're all fully upgraded on performance. 2/3 of my first garage is made of all muscle. I love each one for its own different reason, and have spent a lot of time customizing each one, especially with the paint.

 

Everybody is different, and we all like different things about different cars, so we can tell you what car to get and why until the moon turns green, but you're still gonna have to see for yourself.
