Whenever I open SA in Steam (It is a clean 3.0 version) it shows and error that says Unknown game version followed by another error saying Error loading hooks.asi. I can still play the game but the first person doesn't show up when I press V or Alt+B.

I have tried replacing the dll files with Silent's ASI Loader and it removes the errors but the mod still doesn't work. I have also deleted all of the files and downloaded it again from the dropbox file.

I thought this worked for 3.0.

I don't want to downgrade because I want everything to be on Steam

Does not Steam has some sh*t cut out?

Why is this steam crap so great to some people?

Silent, why?

obviously not silent, but maybe people like the following aspects of steam :

- internet browser in game

- counter (how many hours you've played)

-friends (can see what you are playing, can communicate with you while playing etc.)

-having one more game in your library

I can imagine that these are some of the reasons to play games over steam

I installed my game from Steam, then replaced it with 1.0 US disc copy with Compact exe (only renamed it from "gta_sa.exe" to "gta-sa.exe") and guess what? Every-bucking-thing does work! Steam overlay, playtime counter, in-game notification, you name it, it works. There is absolutely no reason to use Steam version and no reason to update mods to support it. And before you mention, there does be an absolutely legal way to downgrade your game to 1.0 US version. If one's too dumb to manually fix their game, especially after that trick R* pulled, it's their god-damn problem!

So they used the updates to break mod compatibility? Why all the hate for the pc community? First the downgrades from the ps2 version, then 1000 updates which basicly are useless because there are community made fixes now gta 5 and the nearly impossible modability R* is fckng cancerous on the personal computer

The mod still doesn't work on a local MTA server (MTA uses and installs a downgraded version) but it does work when I launch the gta_sa.exe that came with MTA.

When I open MTA and go into task manager I see it uses proxy_sa.exe and when I open it by itself and not by MTA it says vvof.dll is missing, if I rename the proxy to gta-sa.exe and open it in steam the mod won't work unlike gta_sa.exe

Sorry if this doesn't make sense but basically the mod does not work with proxy_sa which my MTA uses.

Well there's one big problem: The drive you installed it to.

I installed my GTA SA on the D drive, and downgrading it doesn't work.

I don't want to switch it to the other drive because there isnt alot of space on it.

So how about you stop ranting about how people want to not downgrade, and realize there could be problems to it.

I think the following might interest anyone who is encountering problems/glitches with cj's head while driving. The content I am about to submit will trigger cj's head invisible while driving, allowing you to eliminate the problem seeing cj's head while driving backwards or freelooking. The following was found and created by ThirteenAG, I only used Sanny Builder 3 (most current version) to compile and wont take any credit at all. You need cleo to make this mod work. Basicly you download sanny builder 3 and make sure to tick the option to automaticly install cleo into your SA folder. After that you run sanny builder, make new file and copy this code (http://pastebin.com/u3PcnsBx) (just copy and paste it) and save it. After that you need to click one of the to symbols which says (compile and copy or sth like that) and you should be done. In car just press b, maybe hold it or press it more times and it should remove the head. Here is the source

http://gtaforums.com/topic/498138-how-to-make-cjs-head-invisible/

Just a simple workaround if you liek me, are annoyed by seeing cj's deformated glitched head while driving

I hope this could help

Step one: downgrade the game.

Did you not read my reply to you?

Because you Obviously can't read, here is a re-post:

Oh, so that's the problem? Sorry then. Strangely enough, I never had this issue.
You can try to temporally move GTA SA folder to the C:/ drive, downgrade the game and then move it back.

I wish that this mod wasn't so buggy, i have used this mod and gta crashes frequently and cj's face is screwed up, and some car interiors are messed up. and the other bad things about the mod is there are buggy textures like when i look at hills, i see flickering textures on them.

Thanks for the new update Voron. Now I am able to play in first person along with the modloader and GTA V HUD flawlessly, no conflicts between the three mods whatsoever (so far). Only two bugs persist, the FOV overlapping Wesser's Widescreen HOR+ (which doesn't bother me much) and of course the bug that sidex15 posted about the head when inside a vehicle. Hopefully these two bugs are possible to fix.

The FOV overlap kills the game for me, since it misaligns aiming in third person mode. Also, I can't get it to work in modloader, do i have to do any special work?

Yea the inaccurate aiming issue in third person happens to me too.

You don't need anything special. Maybe redownload the FPS mod if you haven't recently, and have the latest version of modloader. I reinstalled GTA SA and the first thing I did was to have the modloader first, then the HOR+, and then the FPS mod. Both installed in modloader.

CJ's face makes the exact same face when I am driving, I wish it would be fixed.

could you make it's field of view for third person?
I downloaded "field of view" mod before but it has
a bug that you cant zoom in with sniper scope.
Please make it's FOV for third person too.
