Ive got a decent job earn decent money,Ive spent a bit on gtao but I never seem to have enough gta dollars.

Im just wondering how the hell have some players got silly amounts of money.I dont wanna keep chucking money at this game if theres some kind of simple way of making it.Surely you cant all be so rich you can buy the 60 quid pack every week, cause im seeing players with 30-60 million how the f*ck??

Ive farmed some missions for a while to get $$ but to earn the silly amounts im seeing will take forever.

I have a job, and I have over 1mil in online. Just do jobs, rob the armored trucks, sell ballers/felon gt's at LSC, and only play with a few friends who aren't going to kill you all the time.

It doesnt matter how many jobs you do, if you play with randoms and die a lot, you're not going to accumulate.

I know what you mean OP, I am in the same boat as you. Most people must have glitched 30-60 million.

My main character is comfortably off, not super rich. With a couple of million in the bank.

You don't need 30-60 mil. At least, not unless they eventually allow us to buy mansions and businesses that cost a few mil apiece.

Insert-Coin-To-Continue said "just play the game", and it's true. Do jobs. Rob armored cars. Sell Ballers, Felons, and Oracles to LSC. But also, and just as important: be smart with your money! Don't waste it on stupid stuff like changing the colors of your guns. Don't send mercs after other players. Don't set a 9k bounty on someone, when a 1k works just as well. Don't buy a new DLC car hoping you'll like it, only to find out that you don't and sell it; try it out in SP first (same goes for experimenting with new paintjobs). And don't spend hours and hours in public free-roams; you make no money (except for the occasional bounty or armored car), and the cost of ammo and hospital bills stacks up faster than you think...

Even without grinding RR or Coveted, you'd be amazed how fast $$ accumulates if you're careful with it...

bounties, armoured trucks, missions... just don't waste your time in 1v1 free roam shootouts, literally doing anything else in this game earns you money.

lol I do want 30-60 million tho ;)

Just seems crazy tho, surely these 'glitches' has totally unbalanced the in game currency. And 'legitimate' players like me are getting punished for doing as R* want.

dont get me wrong if I could find a glitch to earn $$ I would do it.

But yea true free roam looses ya money, and I know what ya saying just do jobs, jobs and more jobs. But I love the free-roam and want back-up money so I can enjoy it a bit more cause it can cost a fortune.Especially when ya bump into these pricks who have no money to pay for the car they just blew up,but they have the money for R.P.G's,tanks etc.....

A "normal" day (2-3 hours) in gtao for me is:

sell some ballers

do around 5 jobs (coveted, RR, defender)

do some races

rob some armored trucks

100.000 - 150.000 GTA$

Just spend your money wisely and spend more time in missions and give me all the leftover pies to eat.

Not everything in free roam is a money drain. I always try and clear 100k a day legit which is very easy. Last night I made about 200k from armoured cars, didn't even have to bother with missions.

Pretty sure the ;) means you were joking, but I'll ask you seriously: what are you even going to do with that much money? I've been playing since October, and according to the social club my total expenses so far are a little under $10.7 mil. I've bought 3 high-end apartments (trading 1 in for another with a better view), a bunch of expensive cars and all the mods that go with 'em, all the guns (plus ammo to always keep 'em topped up), and a tank. I've been thinking about buying a buzzard, which would bump my expenses up to $12.5 mil. But even then, what do I need another $17.5 to 47.5 mil for? Until they give us some really, really expensive stuff to buy in future DLC, there's no point to having tens of millions sitting in your bank account (it's not even earning interest). So just play the game. For every hour you spend in free-roam, try to spend an hour doing jobs. And like I said, don't waste the money you earn by doing pointless stuff like making your guns pink or platinum, or adding xenon lights or expensive horns to your cars...

My characters are fairly poor now, I really must update my GTA V Stats later today.

I'm unlikely ever to have those kinds of money in game, the most I've had was that 4.2

million after the billionaire days but I can usually make about 200-300k in a 2-3 hour

session (more if the Armoured Cars loop is up and running).

Usual nightly approach is join game, sell car from car list (get dafty Simeon out of

the way), then sell a Baller at LSC, then go through my usual favourite missions

(Coveted, Chopper Tail, Defender, Rooftop Rumble etc) with some races/parachuting

mixed in to get free health refill and armour.

Most importantly crew/friend only sessions, that way no expenses when free roaming.

"I've got a decent job earn decent money" means you can afford to buy things.

"Spent a bit on gtao" means you bought the game and likely already bought a cash card and spent through it.

"but I never seem to have enough gta dollars" means you're either spending frivolously or not wisely; get out of Free Roam, perhaps, and grind Rooftop Rumble, Potshot (it's back! yay!), or join some missions, races, Survivals, etc.

See, the key word here is "spend."

Spend money in Free Roam on blown up cars, Lester, Lamar, Merryweather, etc.

or

Spend time in Jobs doing races, missions, etc. and make money in the process.

Just my two cents.

Of course, you can always use your "decent money" to buy another cash card, which isn't a sin or a crime - it's an investment in your entertainment.

Cheers! ;)

Amen. PREACH IT. This is what people who complain about having no/not enough money should do.

It's like real life. If you want to earn money, don't keep throwing money at things you want... If you want it, but don't need it, then don't spend on it. If you need it, then how badly do you need it?

I normally ask myself that if ever I'm low on money and need to make a purchase. For example, I had around 1.5mil in December when the 25% discount weekend was going on. The Buzzard was on sale for $1,312,000. I had to make the decision to buy it or not immediately since I had a flight to catch early the next day and wont be back for a week. Eventually, I bought it. One of the best decisions I've made in GTA:O.

Why would you want 60 million in GTA Online? Absolutely no point in buying cash cards or even glitching to get that much money. You can buy everything you could possibly want for about $20 million.

- 20 fully modded cars = 10 million.

- 2 Apartments = 2 million.

- Tank, Buzzard, Boat, plane = 5 million.

- Clothes, weapons, ammo, strippers/hookers = 3 million.

But, the moment you buy everything you want is when you'll move onto another game.
