Field of Screams Version 3-4: Appreciation Thread

Using modding to make the game fun for others and not just griefing that's how it should be, and that is what I wanted to express an appreciation for through this topic. Pre-dominately, modders in the game are all seen as cheating scumbags, but for the first time we've seen something really fun added to the game, which gives a due $ reward for effort required. R* might have removed it now, but let us not forget next time that we're bashing modders, there are one or two good ones that can make the game better for everyone.

ps. Please try to increase the power of the RPG, so that 5 max are needed to destroy a tank.

FYI if you have a tank you can push tractor out of spawn zone and deliver by yourself. Its tedious and takes a while, but it can be done.

How can you appreciate this mission? The loading times are insane, sometimes all the textures are missing. (mount Chilliad just dissappear) and even if you manage to complete it, the game gets stuck in the clouds before you get the payout 2 out of 5 times.

I've heard people are finishing this mission in ~3 minutes.

If you compare this to R*s current payout structure then $75K isn't really a due reward. Prime example is $18K for RR which currently takes about the same amount of time.

Not saying it shouldn't pay as much, I think all missions should pay a lot more for the effort required but that's how R* will justify removing it.

 

I just hope that R* take this as a lesson that the players want better missions like FOS. Would love to see them release some 16 player coop missions that are actually challenging and with a payout that reflects the work put in.

 

I'm fed up of wasting a sh*t load of ammo and 10 minutes of my time to get $5000, like with the new missions. When I could just sell a Baller or deliver a Simeon vehicle and get a better reward it's a complete waste of time.

 

They really need to do something about ranks too, it's such an oversight for them to have nothing unlock after rank 120. I've currently got about $3M so other than a quick cash injection for DLCs etc, there is literally no point in me doing missions anymore. If they added more unlocks after rank 120 and/or made missions that are actually fun to play, there would be much more incentive.
