Why do people always try to get the most money? What's the point? All you do is the same mission over and over again expecting something to be different. That's literally the definition of insanity. So if you are so dedicated to glitching/grinding missions, tell me what you are grinding for? What will you do once you get your desired amount of money? What will you do after you buy everything you wanted? I get it if you want money to buy a car or something, but just to have it? There is no point because you will never stop grinding missions. Isn't the game supposed to be played for fun? And fun isn't buying everything you can, fun is working your way up to getting all those exciting things. I remember once where I did downtown underground like crazy because I wanted the GT wing on my Elegy so bad. I had fun doing that, and when I finally got my Elegy replica complete, I was like "What now?"

Summary: Why would you grind money when you are supposed to be having fun? Why keep asking for missions to grind when that's all you will do? People are grinding the game like it's a full time job. I don't grind, and I find the game perfectly fine and a lot of fun because of that.

Isn't this just opinion? What one person calls pointless grinding, another calls fun. What one person calls a pointless purchase, like a car, is an aim for someone else. It's good that this game offers so many variations of "fun", so we can all find our own way :)

I like t grind missions for cash sometimes but i also like to play to have fun. Granted i have fun no matter what but i have learned that no matter how much i have been able to grind i still want more. That is one of the main reasons that i have tried to stop grinding for cash and just play whatever comes along. Lately i have been just doing random quick jobs and its been fun. That was until FOSV3 and 4 came along and my little Grind whore is back on the streets..lol But I'm trying to be good..

I get it if you have a goal to get to like a car, or apartment. But doing it for no reason makes no sense.

I never said that there are pointless purchases. If you have a goal to grind for, I see no problem. It's the grinding with no goal which is a problem. Because all you want to do is get more money, yet fail to realize the fun times you could be having.

Yeah, I totally hear that. If there's an aim then it's an achievement when you get it, like your first Chrome Adder, or your first Entity rear window kill :p

I do the occasional grind , but not for long - maybe an hour or two. I just like to keep my money at a level where I don't have to think about it and can just go off on one and play the game how I want. I don't mind a couple of hours here and there for that. That *does* give me the fun we're talking about.

Ammo - sole reason people grind endlessly with mundane missions.

If you don't have an sufficient amount of ammunition, you're an easy target. If you trace back towards the core reason for this ammunition craze, it's trust. I've tried a civilised walk on the footpath and got hammered almost instantly.

Do they grind so the have full ammo or something? Because I see no need in grinding for ammo in one gun.

Nobody grinds for no reason, they achieve 1 goal like getting enough to buy a car then they set a new goal like getting enough to mod it etc etc, there's a ton of stuff to buy so people end up grinding a lot.

I have everything and more than enough cash to do anything but even I still end up grinding coveted with my friends sometimes, it's quite enjoyable with some cool people.

If I'm not doing missions I'll cruise around, change my cars, do car meets, try to survive bounties, collect bounties, kill people, trolling etc etc.

everything costs so damn much compared to the low payouts= why people grind

im broke usually because i just dupe and SP-MP cars (no i dont need to spend money maxing them out or buying them)

so money is ammo cost and (some) customization cost

People do in fact grind for no reason. Which is to have more money. I consider that no reason because if you don't need that money, why have no fun making it?

When I'm not killing I'm grinding. When I'm not grinding I'm killing. Gotta build up that bank for the next DLC. Who knows what R* will release next. I have a feeling that eventually there'll be a car more expensive than the Adder and maybe another weaponized vehicle from Pegasus. Prob not anytime soon but gotta be ready.

No person who "grinds" considers it fun. Do you read these this forum? l o l

Grinders are not much different than glitchers in essence. They both have a I want it now attitude.

In contrast one cheats and typically sucks balls at the game.

I don't think that grinding to get money is grinding for no reason, after all they want that money to do something whether it be mod or buy a car, ammunition, clothes, pegasus vehicles, apartment etc, it's all just a means to an end.

It's grinding for no reason when you don't want to spend the money.

I don't know anyone that grinds missions to not spend money, sure some are saving money for future dlc or building up some funds for a free mode war but you would have to be crazy to play 1 mission constantly for no reason.

Mainly to fill up my property slots (40 cars), get that sweet Stinger GT, and get 40 cars, including the ones I sold. Other than that, I don't have any other reason to grind.

Also, it seems like you're the against grinding guy or you don't know why people grind. I remember you on my RR page, about different ways to grind, etc. I don't see why you're against it, sure it may be more fun to do races, survival, deathmatches. etc. But if you think about it, everything costs too much money and there are so many things to buy. Some day we'll all get everything we want, and will never have to grind the RR, or the Coveted, or the Bust Out. It all comes down to your endgame goals.

I am against grinding. Because not only does it spam the forums, it also makes all other lobbies have barely any players. When High Life came out, races were full, and fun again. Now they are back to being practically empty.

I only grinded for a bit before each update so I could buy some of the new stuff and thats about it if I need money/Want something I just play missions with friends and enjoy it, Barely noticing as the money counter rises and before I know it I have $200k.

I can understand why people grind but if you do it all day everyday your just ruining the experience for yourself even if you are working towards something. I think of it like this, ''My console isn't going to last forever so I might aswell get the most enjoyable use out of it while I can'' That is what makes me not want to grind and it works all the time not to mention it's fairly true I've had my xbox for nearly 5 years so I'm expecting it to go done anytime soon.

Just my opinion on the whole thing.

And I'm against grinder whiners cause they spam the forums also, especially when they go into threads about strategy to do a mission faster and proceed to add nothing useful, just let everyone know how against grinding they are. If you wanna race, find some friends or a racing crew.

I agree. The most exciting aspect of online to me was the difference in economy. Some rich some poor. You see someone in a expensive car and its awesome because its rare. I like that the payouts are small because it makes those big purchases much more satisfying. Unfortunately i feel like i am the only poor one on there haha. The reward to me is the work itself. The game is fun to play. All of it. Driving, shooting, skydiving, ect.. i feel like you could ruin the fun of the game by falling into the notion that you have to make the most money everytime you play a mission. Haha ill be the dude in the junky car envious of all the sweet rides you guys got until i can afford a super car. See you guys online!

This. I don't know why R* doesn't want us to store a firetruck, or a police cruiser, or a ranger truck/van.

apparently they were causing "issues"
