Yes I want to win, but not if it means playing unfairly. For example, I've been in quite a few races where me and another player are neck and neck, exchanging first and second place the whole race while the rest of the pack is far behind. At the last minute sometimes they manage to get the advantage, I could ram them and take the win but don't because it would be an insult to an otherwise great race. I'd much rather face good competition, and be a good sport over simply adding another win to my tally 'no matter the cost'.

so many people seem to misunderstand the whole concept of a game

sure in any competitive game the objective of the game is to win.

but the reason for games in the first place is to have fun.

I mean it's not like killing a virtual character or say getting a ball across a line serves any practical purposes.

There is no playing to win in GTAO. It's just play to...... well.... play I guess. There really is no point or objective to the online mode other than to shoot other players and annoy them.

I don't care if you don't have any kills, you go play to win. When you start telling me it doesn't matter, then quit, get out, because it matters.

 

One thing I know, I don't quit. That will not happen.

I often run into people who are not very good racers. There is no satisfaction in wining a race like that. In that case, I let them win. So, yeah, I don't play to win always.
