QuackinAColdOne
I took it in to my school's technology guy, and he said the plug outlets were the problem. I plugged in into most of my school's outlets and it charges like normal. But, when I go home and plug it in, it won't charge even though the plug outlet I put it in into is the same on that charged my phone. Help? Gdog
Yep sounds like your plug. Maybe it's just not able to output the right amount of power for the chromebook than your phone. I'm not electrician but most phones use about 1A charging. Tablets can use 2-3A. Pretty sure a chromebook would use at least 3A. So maybe it's only putting out enough to charge your phone. Have you tried any other plugs in your house or just the one? If all the plugs aren't working then it's either a really big issue with your houses wiring or it's the chromebook after all. Also, can't hurt to try change cables if you have any spares. I'm assuming your chromebook charges via micro usb? maybe your phone has the same kind of cable? should have a spare usb cable lying about somewhere. I have one outlet in my house that currently works on it and it's a power strip. I think you're right. Also, my Chromebook uses a standard laptop charger, no micro USB.
