Anyone I come across using a mini gun will invariably get smoked. Use a building for cover and throw a grenade usually does the trick. It's never been a one second kill, ever. Unless you're in AA lobbies, but that's a whole new debate!

May I suggest going back to school or getting a job yourself... You're clearly not cut out for GTAO haha

Actually I work in a place which caters particularly for special needs children, so I take that offence quite seriously.

 

On topic, it's clear that I know more about the minigun (either M134 or XM214) than you...

In reality it fires the 7.62 x 51mm NATO round, the exact same round used by many sniper rifles today.

 

The damage of a single round (bullet - as you won't know what "round" means) should therefore be comparable to the Sniper Rifle you unlock at rank 21, which is modelled off the L96A1 (Arctic Warfare).

Check the weapon files... you'll see that the damage factor on the minigun is toned down significantly, only doing 30 damage instead of 101, or slightly lower.

 

In a matter of seconds the minigun can rip through both sides of a house. So yeah, I do think it's slightly underpowered.

I'd like to hear how you easily take down a mini gun user.

It has the longest range, highest damage, highest fire rate, highest accuracy out of any gun. It is a close second to the tank, for the fact that it's always with you unlike the tank where you call it in, pick it up, and it can be destroyed.

 

I'd say the biggest disadvantage to the minigun is that it is so accurate, if you miss by the slightest amount you won't hit your target, so it requires decent aim, but not even that much.

Weapon Range value = 120, same as the Assault Rifles.

Accuracy Spread value = 4.5, more than the micro smg (less accurate than that).

I'm more likely to use my heavy sniper to take you out. The mini gun is a situational weapon, I use it to scare people out of cover.

OT: I pull my mini gun whenever someone is trying to creep around the corner. Whether theyre in a car, or chopper, as sooooon as they get a spray of bullets theyre outie 500. Helps keep annoying pricks off my case.
