This is really sick... First the online community stinks of sore losers, and now even this forum?

Why cant you guys be a tad bit constructive? Or just leave it be?

Seems all you do is look for a fight?

The irony. You're stinking of being a sore loser yourself now OP. Had everyone agreed that the mini gun is a problem, you'd feel so loved, and overjoyed to be a part of the forums. Getting the hump because people aren't agreeing with you makes you come across like a spoilt teenager. The forums are for discussion. In discussions, people tend not to agree with one another...

But then, had you posted something that hadn't been so one sided in its senselessness, you'd have probably been ok...

Anyone I come across using a mini gun will invariably get smoked. Use a building for cover and throw a grenade usually does the trick. It's never been a one second kill, ever. Unless you're in AA lobbies, but that's a whole new debate!

May I suggest going back to school or getting a job yourself... You're clearly not cut out for GTAO haha

i've been playing gta online since it was released and i have never seen someone use a minigun, and i have only been killed by a tank once. So i dont get the whole drama around those two things.

Okay, so you're one of those players that camp your apartment all the time, okay then!

I'm a pc gamer and Free aim controls on consoles sucks balls in comparison. The range of motion controlling the cursor is just too small and it's impossible to adjust the setting so that it moves fast enough to catch up to fast close targets and slow enough to make minute adjustments with sniper at long range, you either have to pick one or the other or somewhere in the middle and then suck at both.

Oh how wrong you are on that...

Of course it's true. The analog stick only moves about a half inch and it's just to clunky and sensitive. If set to slow it works great for long range sniping but then it can't move fast enough to catch or keep up with a close fast moving targets. If set to fast it moves to far when barely touched to be able to get the head shot at long range. The is no setting that allows for optimal control at all distances which you can have with a PC. You have to sacrifice speed at close range to accuracy at long range or vice versa. Hook your console controller up to a pc and play a shooter, you will get annihilated, lol! If you ever played a pc shooter and got used to the mouse you would never play free aim on a console again, probably never even pay a game on a console again, haha!

Then GTFO gta:online, member of the PCmaster race, you 733t son of a bitch!

I play autoaim, to set that straight off the bat, 6000 player kills, and my connection sucks.

 

The only time I can really depend on the mini, is if I'm in a area without good cover and nearing the enemy's line of sight, while they are (assumed to be) already looking at me with the Heavy Sniper, and at the same elevation as me.

 

I just last night got the first tint for it, it will get me killed if I'm dumb enough to try using it in lock on range, or the enemy is above me they'll RPG/GL me or if they have good cover they can still snipe me. I have only been killed by it a handful of times.

LOL, regardless of the obvious laziness innate in "Traditional GTA", a large number of people on this forum and in this very thread are in autoaim.

I'm not here to debate its merits and downfalls or brag about my L2R2 1337 skilz yo, I just qualified my post.

minigun rules free aim pretty much. I think this is his point. and I pretty much agree. its like the auto shotty but without even the 1/8th second pause between rounds, no reload and the range of a rifle.

 

the only disadvantage it has is that you cant take cover, however the stream of bullets you can spew around the corner as you strafe is pretty much better than taking cover.

 

the only chance you have in a vehicle is with a riot van or a voltic and even then you better have that ap pistol locked on your you'll be dead before the minigunner

 

in auto aim the minigun is no match for a lock on carbine though I think this is the distinction people are failing to realize

Granted, when I first got my tank in November, I used it a lot... I'd say I have killed around 500 or so players with it. I thought the tank was fun, but got tired of it. Its simply to slow and clunky with too small of a range of motion. If you speed it up you lose the ability to move it slow and accurately at long distances. go zoom in with a sniper once and barely touch the stick with settings on high it jumps over the width of 3 players, making it pure luck to land on the headshot and harder for even a body shot. Now set it to low and its too slow to target anyone whos close to you before you die because it takes 10 seconds to cross half the screen, so you set somewhere in the middle and sacrifice optimal ability at both distances and hope for the best. its not a difficult concept to understand if youve ever played a pc game and know how much more efficient and precise the controls are for them but if you havent you really dont have a clue what your talking about. With a smaller range of motion control every minute mistake you make is amplified 1000x times on high sensitivity and is painfully slow at low sensitivity, moving your thumb less than 1 millimeter too far equates to about 10 feet on the screen if your zoomed in on sniper scope. If you move a mouse slow the cursor moves slow, if you move it fast it moves fast, with a stick the farther you push it the faster it goes and it doesnt take barely any movement at all to greatly change the rate of movement which makes it very inaccurate and a less than ideal controller when precise movements are required. you can get semi decent with a controller with lots of practice but you will never match the skill level you can achieve with the much higher quality controls that a pc offers.

no one realized that you were talking about free aim as most people play auto aim. Thats why you caught so much flak, cause the minigun is freaking worthless in auto aim lobbies and you almost never see it used except against cars or helicopters. You certainly never are killed by it in auto aim lobbies unless they spawn right behind you or something, haha! However after you mentioned free aim I can totally understand how it might be more useful and abused there.

didn't ranks get reset? he's probably a legit 256 but him assuming that 99% of the weapons are an instant kill tells me its in auto-aim lobbies. It's a different game without auto-aim.

hes talking about free aim where the aiming is equally sh*tty no matter what gun you have so i can see how having the bullet spread and rate of fire of the minigun giving you a way better chance of at getting kills than any other gun if you were close enough to the target.
