Minigun...

 

Cant take cover while using it.

Are terribly exposed.

No auto aim.

 

 

Someone who knows anything about this game can take out a minigun user easily - unless he gets the jump on you.

 

 

Now the tank...

 

Highly durable.

One shot one kill.

Can run over cars.

 

Need I go on?

I've killed a handful of players with my minigun in freeroam, but because it's such an awkward weapon to weild it's only useful on rare occasions.

 

Much more useful in missions when you have to blow up the SUVs full of bad guys driving towards you.

Minigun is my weapon of last resort when someone really pisses me off. I was just walking along casually and two guys in a mint green Adder zoomed by and tried to hit me but I jumped behind a tree. I turned around and minigunned both of them right out of the Adder. They didn't f*ck with me again. Instead of calling my car, I strolled home like a boss.

I understand where the OP is coming from, it can be incredibly frustrating at times especially when a camper sits around a corner and insta-kills you with the mini-gun, especially in free-aim.

Yeah! And thanks for reminding me that there is a auto aim part of gta online! Had totally forgotten about it, and that is probably why I got flamed, because the people who started to ague with my post are prolly autoaimers...

I play free aim and mini guns are rarely a problem.

only way to destroy a tank with minigun is on rear , takes couple of thousand bullets

in addition , aim sensitivity is augementing your freeaim accuracy ( at your taste , whetever you set it low or high depend you can handle it ) . this is especially useful while wielding heavy weapon like minigun or RPG for hitting rate ( note : it doesn't means it changes the firearms accuracy , but it just allow you hit enemy more easier )

 

also you can choose invert the aiming or remain normal

it should be noted at online mode , its not possible to adjust the aiming sensitivity . only in SP mode can ( however , like other options . the sensitivity retain same as SP mode that player adjusted )

You can run he can't

You can use cover he can't

You can combat roll he cannot.

 

Turn your blip off and and kill 1 sniper shot, rifle shot with scoop.

Sticky bomb wait for approach then blow.

I play autoaim, to set that straight off the bat, 6000 player kills, and my connection sucks.

 

The only time I can really depend on the mini, is if I'm in a area without good cover and nearing the enemy's line of sight, while they are (assumed to be) already looking at me with the Heavy Sniper, and at the same elevation as me.

 

I just last night got the first tint for it, it will get me killed if I'm dumb enough to try using it in lock on range, or the enemy is above me they'll RPG/GL me or if they have good cover they can still snipe me. I have only been killed by it a handful of times.

Anyways how is the minigun a problem? Its only purpose is to take down helicopters and destroying cars. It's only better than the RPG if you have sh*t aim.

the problem with the minigun in this game is OP & doesn't lose much ammo. usually what i've seen. it's used when scrubs are losing because they can't kill me using assault rifles. Calling in a $200 tank is worth it instead of wasting your bullets on a noob

The mini gun in the right hands will do the trick, people in FA do use it a lot, but in AA i see it used against tanks & bulletproof cars. Its good for trapping people in cover, taking out people in cars & if you are good with it you can keep people at a distance. I remember during the capture event on the bank heist map, I took mines to the roof and lit the entire opposing team up repeatedly. In my opinion its a noob weapon though, it can be op if you're smart with it.

the minigun kind of sucks

only time I really use it is on people in choppers or something

in any non vehicular PVP i'd gladly trade some rounds per minute for the ability to move and take cover

ow and I play free aim btw, so I'm not just saying it sucks because it can't lock on.

Haha As stated earlier. I was sharing my side of things. People misunderstood me, and everything got out of the main subject!

Wich is PvP gunfights! And the minigun is taking the fun out of it!

 

Second, I have a job and a girlfriend that lives with me in our two room apartment.

Gta online is a side hobby, that has always been fun! And it still is :D

But the minigun has become more and more of an issue to that joy, IMO.

 

I hardly ever get beaten in this game, wheter its racing or gunfights. And thats just a fact :)

First of all, you mention my father in any derogatory manner again, and forget GTAO or PSN, I'll come see you in the real world and we'll see who always wins then.

Secondly, you seriously come across as the kind of bozo who's so spoilt, that on the apparent off chance (because you're clearly the worlds greatest GTA racer and shooter) you take a hit, you have a major hissy fit, spit out your dummy and come in here to have a whine!

All in All I think the Minigun is to keep the other players at bay because I had multiple encounters where I was killed and when they tried do it again I used a mini gun after that they kept their distance the whole time. Yes its overkill but it has its ups and downs.
