There is no point making them a low level when they already earned all the RP and guns, unlocks etc.

My guess is, it'll be like the tank glitch fix... Where people under rank 70 could buy tanks.

 

Now, if your rank is lower than the required rank for something, you simply won't have access to those things until you reach that level...

 

IOW, someone who started glitching RP at level 20 and is now in the hundreds will go back to around level 20...

 

Which means no RPG, no minigun, no tank, or any other thing that requires over rank 20 to access...

 

Including missions, like Rooftop Rumble...

I read that but I would find it dumb to reset legit levels its lazy to not calculate the 20 levels out instead of blanket rollback

 

 

Give me one valid reason why you deserve to not be reset to rank 1? You're a cheater and don't deserve to even play the game with other people. You should consider yourself lucky that they are letting you keep the RP from before your cheating. If I owned Rockstar you'd be reset - RP *and* money. Immediately.

R*'s justification could be simple. For example, if you glitched enough to host Rooftop Rumble, then the RP earned hosting Rooftop Rumble is not legitimate.

You might still have them, but if you're not a high enough rank to use them, you might be locked out of them, like they did when people under rank 70 were glitching tanks.

I think this is totally kosher. I'm proud to say that I got to level 187 without glitching or hacking, although I did inadvertently receive $1 billion from someone back when all that illegitimate money was floating around a couple of months ago. And I'm not one of those who did Criminal Minds over and over again like a lot of people did in the beginning.

 

I think we can all agree that it’s pretty difficult to be higher than level 500 without cheating, hacking or glitching. If you are a legit level 500 or above, I don’t know how you did it, but that’s absolutely insane.

I may of done a bit of DNS modding in the past which i regretted afterwards because i had nothing to achieve so im glad they've just changed mine

This.From reading this it seems that only the blatantly guilty will be hit, theres a big difference between modding the servers and participating in glitches and exploits, but it also says "gained a small amount of RP without modding, your RP should not be affected by this correction"

I just logged in with no notification or reduction on either character.

 

I think the only thing shady I did for levels was hover over the objective in a helicopter for about 4 levels back when that worked.

 

So I don't think I will be affected.
