œaœa
The only cool thing we've seen Franklin doing is walking a girl to a cab in the morning that he may or may not have slept with. The night probably consisted of him crying. Tikhung, Sean O'God, Drunken Cowboy and 8 others
DaRkL3AD3R
The night probably consisted of him crying. Hahahaha now that's some funny sh*t. But true stuff. Franklin is a total zZz character. Nothing interesting about him at all. I was one of the guys who used to hate on all thr "GROVE 4 LYFE" wannabe thugs and even I'm like, "Franklin... wtf bud. Fly your colors and bang already ffs." Truly a useless character tacked on just give the game diversity.

Mister Pink
Yeah I think, Rockstar were trying move away from stereotypical west coast gangster stuff by having a black guy trying to get out of the hood...oh wait! mariana_dm1989
Claude ran away with Catalina to liberty city, and she taught him broken english, and now Niko Belic is trying to teach Claude some proper English. But yeah, Franklin is a bit dull. His character could have been developed far more. Edited May 20, 2014 by mariana_dm1989
Mr_Leone
Don't see any room for him to improve now that he is rich beyond his wildest dreams. Why go back to the hood? Honestly, they should have delayed this game again to branch some things out. DaRkL3AD3R
Cutter De Blanc
He has no motivation, no purpose. Furthermore, when people like Lamar try to give him one he disregards them and thinks they're foolish. He just exists with no real reason to. It's not that he's boring, he's clever and sensible, it's just he has no driving force behind his actions, since he doesn't seem to really care about much of anything. I don't hate the character but he's just got nothing going on. Think about all the loose ends you clean up at the end of the game Option C. The ties to Michael and Trevor's conflicts are substantial to the story. But Franklin? What some random thugs who he literally had no beef with for like 80% of the game? Joke. The night probably consisted of him crying. Hahaha but seriously. Franklin seems like the kinda guy to follow the traffic rules and don't carjack people. Whenever I switch to him he's either working out on the beach or stopping Lamar from getting into fights. Just like CJ, he just doesn't seem to fit when compared to Micheal and Trevor, and even past GTA protagonists like Tommy and Claude.
universetwisters
I remember pre-release, everybody worshiped Franklin because he was an ICE COLD KILLA FROM DA HOOD. Fast forward about 9 months after its release and you got those same people saying how much they didn't like him.
Cutter De Blanc
Franklin really doesn't remind me of CJ at all. They're black and they're both members of the Families, but there their similarities end. Actually I think both shout "For f*cks sake!" when you crash a car too. epoxi and latigreblue
Mr_Leone
People loved F because he was a black man who was somewhat intelligent from the hood. Only issue is, he's not from the hood, his aunts house just so happens to be in the hood. He's supposed to be a G but isn't. We don't even know who runs CGF and F never puts in work. Mr_Leone
Claude is ten times the psycho Frank is. I'd say Claude is the most abnormal of them all. He refuses to speak.
Cutter De Blanc
Claude may be mysterious, but at least you knew what his motivation was right from the get go. I recently restarted a file to enjoy the earlier part of the game, I got to where Franklin loses his repo job, and everytime I switch to him, he still has that aimless boring life. He's not looking for a job or set tripping with Lamar, he's coming out of the weed store or doing push-ups on the beach. I'm like "what the hell," didn't Rockstar say he's an adrenaline junkie? I just don't see it. Bonnano

wiizardii
Franklin was a joke IMO. I thought he would be cool, but in game he is just a Bitch Boy. I never play as him anymore, hate the dude. Him and Luis Lopez, the 2 worst protagonists in a GTA game. Claude would kill Fanklin instantly with just his silence. Btw, I do actually like Claude honestly, he was pretty badass without even saying a word. PS: I will never forget does Franklin worshippers pre release to GTA V.. every video I watched about GTA V everyone was saying ''FRANKLIN MY MAAAANNNN! WE GETTIN SOME GTA SAN ANDREAS NOSTALGIA! WE ARE GETTING ARE SECOND GANGSTER FROM DA HOOD PROTAGONISTT!!!'' And I also remember a guy saying he is gunna be like CJ.... -__- Edited May 20, 2014 by Phoenix_Shit BENNY BLANCO

WildBrick142
I like Franklin in the beginning of the game, before he meets Michael. Then he turns into a boring character with the only good thing about him being the Special Ability.

kasa
Franklin should have been much more developed, it should have been some kind of rags to riches story. It was way to easy to get the penthouse. I actually missed the house in his old neigbourhood in South LS. It was so boring in his mansion (allthough in South LS also not much happens)
FranklinDeRoosevelt
There's no proper "gangsta" stuff within him. He's an all round legit moron trying to get away from a life he barely experienced. I thought this character was cool at first, but thinking about it, it's different. I don't get it, when he moves to Vinewood Hills, what is he supposed to do now? He's just in the same sh*tty life except he's now rich with an apartment and has absolutely nothing to do. Basically, he has an even sh*ttier life. I reckon Lamar should have been the character, because he would have been the first black character who isn't too serious, meaning f*cking hilarious as f*ck, lives the gangsta life just for the fun of it and actually wants to f*ck sh*t up. If Rockstar replaced Franklin with Lamar, and gave him a good story and sh*t, it would have been crazy good. Or they could have made Franklin's story the opposite, so he should have been struggling like a poor peasant to joining the most dangerous hood there is and going through gang wars and sh*t, drug dealing, personal problems and stuff like that.
