Dear Rockstar: APARTMENTS SUCK

Please.

 

Do not add more apartments.

 

Apartments suck.

 

When we scrape together the cash to get a good 'crib', we want a frigging MANSION. We want a place with several rooms, a garage, a driveway, a pool, tennis court, garden, and a spa.

 

The 'highest tier' thing you give us is a goddamn apartment? A piece of sh*t APARTMENT in a skyscraper whose one main attraction is a big TV?

 

I mean sure, the view out the window is nice, but it's an apartment!

 

Please, for the love of god, give us a mansion that we can buy.

 

ESPECIALLY since you're intending on releasing heists!

 

We're going to have buttloads of money if we're good at the game and the one 'expensive' thing we can splurge on is a piece of sh*t.

 

Let us buy houses. Mansions. Marinas. Let us live in a WAREHOUSE on the docks.

 

Right now we have these choices:

 

Four eclipse tower apartments

Three weazel plaza apartments

two apartments at tinsel towers

Two more at Richards

Two MORE at Alta street

ANOTHER TWO AT DEL PIERRO

And ANOTHER THIRTEEN APARTEMNTS scattered around the place.

 

APARTMENTS!

 

Who in their right goddamn mind picks up a grand theft auto game and says 'yeah, I wanna buy an apartment!'?

 

You want to give us a game where we live our fantasies of going from nothing and rising to the top? Then let us aim for something more than a goddamn apartment.

 

Even if it costs us 3.5 mil for a mansion. Or for a property somewhere out in the frigging desert. Give us some options other than a choice between three tiers of samey apartments. 'you can live in this apartment in this building or that apartment in that building!'

 

Let us buy a mansion with a personal helipad. Hell, let us buy a yacht that's a stationairy floating home with jetskis and a helipad on the back.

 

'Living the life' is what Michael was doing in the single player. He owns a frigging mansion.

 

Even the 'nigga from the hood' Franklin went on to live in (for tax purposes) a GIANT GODDAMN HOUSE!

 

Did any of these people consider living in an apartment?

 

No.

 

Because apartments are sh*te.

 

Please, give us some options in our playstyles. Let us live the life of a GTA celebrity.

 

Fast cars. Gorgeous women. Overpowered weaponry. Explosions. Heists. Cartloads of money and all the gold bullion you can fit in the back of a goddamn armored car.

 

You know what doesn't fit with this picture?

 

Trying to stack all of that inside a goddamn apartment.

I don't care if we have apartments or mansions, just as long as we have something to use them for other than changing clothes.

I don't think they could have possibly made them any lamer than they did. no use for them at all.

 

Something as simple as a pool table which has been in every gta game previous would make a huge difference imo and give us at least one reason to wanna be in our apartments. but no, nothing, nothing at all.

Oh... so in the history of GTA online two people who own the same apartment have never entered the same lobby? No, wait, pretty sure that happened. Me and my friend both own the most expensive apartment.

 

We were in the same lobby.

 

And huh... the servers didn't catch fire. And the game appears to still be working.

 

It's almost like it doesn't matter?

 

Unless you're operating under the assumption that rockstar would be stupid enough to try and do an open-world mansion, purchasable, with interior rooms rendered in the main map. in which case: You're an idiot.

you won't ever have mansions same reason apartments don't have open balconies.

 

interiors need to be separate, how do you see it working if someone owned the same property.

If you call it a condo instead of an apartment, it sounds nicer. And you think that when they roll out heists that we're all gonna have a bunch of money? Think again. They gonna put in some stupid rule like you can only do one heist per week or they gonna make them super hard and there is gonna be an initial upfront cost to getting prepped for the heist, so that if you fail once or twice it's gonna cost you. If you have big dreams of making millions every day, you're gonna be sadly disappointed. They still need to be able to sell cash cards after all

A. Apartments do suck in this game because there is zero to do in them.

B. An apartment is a domicile that you pay a monthly rental fee to live in and if you do not pay you get evicted. What we are living in are Condo's which are ownable properties that have an upfront purchase price and no monthly payments unless you got a loan.

C. We will never be able to own single family properties because being in a server where multiple criminals live in the same mansion...YOUR mansion...would be completely broken. At least with the condo setup you can imagine that they live in other floors.

people will all want to own and live in the best=most expensive place either way, with apartment buildings the game is able to pull it off without becoming too stupid.

 

mansions and separate houses simply won't work on the online setting.

 

i rather have RDR's tent and campsite than your stupid pixel mansions.
