Tactical Deathmatch (Once in a lifetime DM)

Recommended Posts

UnspokenOuch

For a while now I've had this very special, tactical and experimental deathmatch in my mind. This is the kind of Deathmatch that you can't play unless you organize it, so that's what I'm doing here.

This is what makes this a DM like no other:

- 10 to 16 Players will start in different locations across the WHOLE MAP.

- You have one hour to find your enemies and kill them before they kill you.

- Since the DM takes place on the whole map, you'll have to be smart! Use ''reveal enemy players'' (call Lester) to find you enemies, but remember that your enemies will do the same! This will result in a very tactical and nerve wracking DM because everytime you see that one of your enemies has revealed all enemy players, you know you're in danger!

This makes hiding just as important as hunting!

- Helicopters and planes are spread across the map for faster transportation, however be aware that a bird in the sky is easy to spot!

- Being tactical will get you somewhere!
For example: When you reveal all enemy players you'll have a minute, but a minute might not be enough to get from your location to the location of your nearest enemy. So what you can do is, try and get closer to that enemy, and find a good place to hide or defend yourself nearby. Now wait until this particular enemy reveals all his enemies. During this minute you best chance is to look in the direction where you last saw your enemy on the map, and when you see him, you'll have the advantage! Because he thinks you can't see him!

There are many more similar scenarios possible, all with a very unique result and different tactics!

- Maybe you'll need just 3 kills to win this DM. So not being killed will be just as important as killing! So don't go running around like an idiot! Stay out of sight and wait for the right moment to attack or move around. You don't want to give your enemies a single point!

- Blend in with NPC's! If you drive around like a maniac your enemies will definitely spot you! So try and drive like the NPC's around you to blend in and travel unnoticed. However, make sure that enemies close by haven't revealed you on their map!

I think this will make for a really interesting DM! And an hour might seem long, but I believe that once you're playing this DM, time will seem to fly by!

I'm looking for people who are patient and willing to spent an hour for this experimental DM.

Maybe it will be a great experience, maybe it will be a disaster, only one way to find out! :)

Some people would bitch and complain about this size of this deathmatch, and it may still be an issue. But if wanted something like this for a while. Effectively creating a dotless free roam. Sounds kinda cool

That's exactly why I can't just host this job and wait for random players to join. They'll either leave before the DM even starts or halfway through.

This is really something for the more patient people who aren't doing it purely for the money and RP.

Ya I'm Xbox too. GT - Luckyshot Up. If it let's me cross platform bookmark I'll add this. It would go well with some large group events, I think. If it's built right ( not saying it isn't, just assuming it might not be, but then again I haven't played it so I have no clue), it can be seriously fun and almost like a mission in a weird way.

Misread. You are already on xbox

The respawn points would be likely too far away to keep randoms intrested, would need to be on owned weapons but and have the forced weapon something heavy like Carbine, Combat MG or Snipers when its ran on forced. Pickups next to heli's to stand out on the map. Could work. Make it 30/45mins not one hour, It will crash and people will leave unless they agree to a full hour.

My mate made a "Freeroam DM" like this, but he only used downtown. Still was really good, spawn points in strippers were good. Took him ages he said. Good luck.

I've already made the DM, spawn points are carefully placed, and it's pretty much ready to go!

I would love this. I don't normally deathmatch, but this would be right up my street. I'm on PS3 but have 0 experience with the content creator, so I'm not your man for that. Put my name down for a full hour of hunt the pussies other players.

Hmm, but doesn't your blip show when you are traveling in a car and/or running fast and such?

In what situations does your blip show exactly?

I think whenever someone really close is loud. So if a car comes towards you full speed it will only appear on your radar a second before it hits you. Same if someone close shoots without a silencer attached.

The whole map is maybe too ambitious, at least before the kinks are ironed out, but I think using a whole location would be awesome. Say all of Sandy Shores, or all of Paleto Bay. It's a more reasonable playground, you know? I'd be way into that.

You might be right, one idea I had earlier was to have a hunting game (sniper only) in Lago Zancudo at night. It's a hugh area of nothing but grass, trees, and water. At night you'll barely be able to see your opponents unless they move.
