Quite boring due to lack of corners, thus if catchup is off you won't see your opponents ever again if you crash once. If catchup is on it'll be a 20-minute pitting and ramming paradise. I'll pass.

Your race looks like a more painful version of Long Haul II, which is an epic snooze-fest and there need not be anymore than the one super long, straight highway race. You want a real endurance race with corners and action, a-la grand tour, then try these out for size:

This is a 11.1 mile lap race, therefore you could set it to however many laps you prefer to race in true endurance fashion, default 1 lap, average time is 6:30 per lap.

 

Epic Grand Tour II: http://rsg.ms/1obIhB2

This is a 17.2 mile point-to-point, with lots of action, lots of turns and hardly any straight highway BS, average time for completion in modded Super Cars is >10 minutes. Always conductive of a great, close and competitive race with lots of people in the lobby. Epic surprise at the end!

 

I also have both these races split into two smaller races, named EGT city, and country section(s) I and II, respectively.

 

EGT City Section (I) is the most popular of the 4 sections, of the two EGT's, with 80 thumbs up Vs. 6 thumbs down(it reads 82%, but we all know that is closer to a 93% approval rating). Trust me, with 85+ races made, these are quality Enduros.

 

A lot of good racers in this thread, lol. First Don, now you. I have your awesome track Catfish Getaway bookmarked. I got invited once since (I believe) Traksta was in the race you hosted. Might've been another RRR member, I don't remember.

 

I'll check out your Epic Grand Tour tracks too.

Can't say I've seen better endurance races than the two you posted, Earth. Glad to have you in our racing league(even if you like to leave and rejoin Apex and RRR1, from time to time. Lol), and honored to have such a talented course creator, and racer amoung the SCRL ranks!

 

EGT and EGT II are very well marked, even with the lack of CP's for a true endurance race, there's never a doubt on where to go. Awesome route to explore the map at very high-speeds, much better than the Rockstar "Grand Tour" if I do say so myself, especially EGT II!

 

As Dave said, Catfish Getaway is an amazing P2P race, and one of my favorite bookmarks, has been for a while. That one is SOOOO worthy of R* verification, it's not even funny, along with all your race creations! Your races inspire my creations.. Can't wait to see what you design next!

I made a similar one when the race creator came out. I was just farting around really, it's nothing special. M1-300 Coastal Race, it's fun to do in GTA Mode though

I'd do it, but it would only be fun with a full or nearly full game, that way you have a good chance of always being close to the other racers.

You don't know endurance until you have done 50 laps of the Nurburgring on Forza Motorsport.

That was one hell of a weekend. Putting fuel consumption on, tire wear etc. had to keep swapping players to get some rest.

If this was 10 laps, it's an endurance race. Ever played Le Mans 24 hour race on Gran Turismo? That's endurance

ever played 75 laps on the Nurburgring Nordschleife in Forza 4? That is an insanely long race. Is the 24 Hours on GT actually 24 hours?

Yeah, in gt it was a full 24 hours... You could of course sim and speed it up a little... But yeah... You also had to worry about gas and tires, so strategize your pit stops.....
