Amazing Endurance Race

For true race fans... Would anyone be feeling this? It would be perfect for large races, but as you can guess, that's a pretty hard things to set up on gta lol

 

There's a few amall problems that I'm still trying to fix (mainly checkpoints pointing the wrong way, only like two).

 

Would you guys prefer traffic on or off? It gets way to boring without, but that's what I've had it on.....

 

If you really think about it, it's the ultimate endurance race around San Andreas lol

 

Please give your thoughts....

I'm a fan of long relaxing drives around the world of GTA, this looks good.

 

Just don't have any stupid unnecessary ramps like everyone else seems to add to these long races.

I placed a single ramp in the entire thing, and I only did that to "boost" a jump that was already in the game (broken bridge in the far northwest area of the map)..

Wow. I can see how checkpoints would be an issue... I like the detour into Paleto bay to break up the very long freeway stretches.

So more corners, I have catchup off, and yeah, tht does become a problem... Maybe no contact?

The highway should break off at Raton Canyon area and go through the Raton Canyon to Blaine County,skipping Zancudo entirely.Then continue along the Route 68.

 

Off topic:Never tried the endurance series in Gran Turismo 5 even when I unlocked it.I am worried that my console will set on fire or ylod if I keep it on for more than a day.

Do you know you can grind in GT5?All you need is a Race modified Corvette Z06 if you know what I mean.

I don't believe so... My race ends at the playboy mansion... And you actually have to stop and let the gate open to finish the race.... So I'm not too sure how they work that out, but I don't think so...

It just occurred to me why no one has made a race with 1 point of Blaine Country and 1 point in Downtown LS leaving races to basically find the fastest way there

I like the idea! These races, when properly made are my favorites.

 

A few ideas:

* Why the same way back passing the army base, maybe better to go a bit off road and drive on the other side of the canyon.

* The long way down seems a bit boring. Especially without catchup and no traffic. If you manage to get out of Paleto bay in front, you pretty much win the race. Perhaps a route along Palomino Heights, then a bit back up again? Or instead of finishing at Simeon's place, go a bit more in the city, make some corners and end up at the airport.

skip chumash, but add vinewood on the track, those mountain paths are great

you go just go to the mountain after the sandy shore airport

this also fix your check point issue (that route 69 will be a problem when actually racing either)

Great advice... No real reason for going the same way on that one part... The whole dip-in to sandy shores is my favorite part actually lol, I'll see if I can fix it up tho....

 

Also... I could extend the finish a bit farther, but I was about out of checkpoints at that point lol....

 

This was my first race, so I wasn't fully aware of everything, such as prop and checkpoint limits (well I was aware, just didn't think I would reach the max lol), so when I get home today I'll try to polish this baby up

I'll see what I can do.... The biggest checkpoint problem is right around te prison, a little after I think.... The arrow straight up points west... I've set up some props and shot but some people just start driving through the middle of the map lol....

 

Definitely needs a bit of work...

When I started mailing this race I just pictured 16 supers having having a battle royal on the track lol

Not a fan of races like that personally. That's not to say I don't like enduros but I don't think there's enough checkpoints available to make a genuinely interesting enduro point-to-point race.

Looks like a good race, would make Long Haul 2 look like a short-sprint..

 

 

With the wrong settings it could be horrible though, very few racers, traffic on, catch up-off, ghost racing for example - this would ruin it!

 

I'd say make sure catchup/slipstream on, make sure collisions on, a good number of racers with no traffic and this would be a half hour of absoloute anarchy! I'd definitely race it!
