The 2nd DLC pistol, the one that looks like a Colt 1911

Just want to ask around and see if anyone else is having the same bug I am.

 

Every other weapon in this game, the bolt, or slide "Actions" when fired right, the one on this handgun does not. I've dropped it, re-purchased it, deleted the dlc pack, redownloaded, everything short of sacrifice a small child to Cthulu, and yet the slide does not work when you fire this weapon.

 

I know this is probably a very small thing to notice, but I did recently when I started playing again a few days ago, and for some reason this really bothered me. ( Pretty stupid reason to not use a powerful pistol, I know).

 

Can anyone else confirm that this is bugged? Has anyone else noticed this?

 

 

 

Also, it's funny they added in a bullpup AR, when we already had one. Good thing it has a decent fire rate, but accuracy is crap.

 

I'd like some trip wire mines next time, or maybe some new squad automatic weapons, or heck, why not a flamethrower....the special weapons category hasn't seem some love yet.

I have no clue what your talking about. I'm not a big gun person though. I like the vehicles.

The CE came with a bullpup shotgun. No other weapon has "bullpup" in it besides the AR.

There are 2 rifles that are bullpup design now. The Advanced Rifle from launch, and the AR from the High Life DLC. Just because one has the word "bullpup" in it and the other doesn't does not negate that both are in fact, bullpup design weapons.

 

But that's not the point here.

 

I only wanted to know if the heavy handgun, i think it's called, is not actioning the slide for anyone else, as Rockstar support has been assimilated by a roving band of hairless monkies who cannot reason, nor read it seems, and only linked me the console troubleshooting steps via a quick control c/v in the support ticket I opened about the issue.

You mean the Heavy Pistol?
I remember the slider was just fine pre-1.13.

I just got back into playing after the High Life released, so maybe a recent patch broke the slide.

 

 

Either that or it's simply "just me".

I think you have to dumb it down for some of us idiots who learn all our gun intel through GTA and COD lol...sorry I haven't noticed though

I noticed that too though that was pre-1.13, so i'll have to just check it out later.

Nope mine isn't either. Annoying since I love 1911's.

To seriously Barney it down, yes, the big metal bit on the top of the handgun lol.

 

Strange, since this seems to be the only weapon affected. I play a lot of survival, and often when I get bored I play around with other weapons than the ones I prefer, and I just happened to notice the slide didn't work.

 

It's a far cry from any game breaker bug, but it caught my eye and I just wondered if I was the only one who noticed.

Ive never noticed this but ill keep an eye out for the action next time im in game. I know what you mean, its far from a game breaker, just like the reattaching extended clip/suppressor on my Desert Eagle, but little things like this get on your nerves over a long period of time.

Yes I noticed it. Slide doesn't operate. It was from 1.12 I believe. Works fine in singleplayer though.
