What do you expect from Watch Dogs compared to GTA Online?

The Watch Dogs job from Payday 2 looked more entertaining than the game coming out in two weeks. The game just isn't doing it for me, and I don't know why...

 

 

To answer the OP's question I think it will suffer from the majority of sandbox-MP games: will get boring fairly quickly unless new content is released. The hacking gimmick seems to be just that - a gimmick. There was a similar feature in NFS:R and that added about 10 minutes of fun to the gameplay.

 

Keep in mind that this view is pessimistic for already stated reasons. I truly hope you enjoy playing your game

From what I have read the multiplayer is pretty underwhelming, and the single player is made frustrating by the current necessity to be online to preserve your skill upgrades, meaning you can constantly be invaded by other players.

 

I am not excited in any way for the multiplayer, in the same way Assassins Creed multiplayer is uninteresting to me... it will be closer to that experience than GTAO.

 

I do think the single player will be lots of fun though and keep me entertained for a few weeks at least.

I'll probably get 2-3 days playtime out of it, get all the achievements, play for a few hours in multiplayer and get bored because it is barebones, then come back to GTA5.

Is it just me, or these two games can't really be compared? If game includes freeroam, it isn't nessesarly GTA's rival. Were you also comparing Far Cry 3 to GTA?

Better than being overhyped like GTA V and GTA Online were years,months and weeks before release only to end up being overrated

 

I'm not expecting much from Watch_Dog's multiplayer, but it's about time we get a new game that most people can play... I've been trying out new games since the new year but not everyone has been buying them.

This could possibly be the first major game of 2014.

i'd expect to find a watch dogs forums if i was that interested in it.

 

all i know is ubisoft's open worlds do not give you the alive illusion that rockstar's do.

 

just watch how peds and traffic will solely exist and depend on the player, i haven't played it to know how npcs will gravitate around the player instead of seeming to actually have something to do, or where to go.

Seeing how Watch_Dogs has like 5 different versions and from recent gameplay leaks, I expect it to be a ripoff. That said I no sure to get it on ps4 for exclusive content or pc for possibly better graphics.

I think it will be a great game. I will be playing it on Xbox 360 and I don't expect much from multiplayer so I won't be doing it.

 

Watchdogs and GTAO are nothing alike though so they can't be compared.
