There's a simple fix for this that Rockstar continues to ignore on the Support Forums. Any PV destroyed by the Tank Cannon, Tank User Pays. Anyone that rams their PV into a Tank, and it gets destroyed? The driver pays. Not that hard. Yet Rockstar focks up the coding by including this garbage if the tank is moving, or still. What? And now Jets are given free reign too.

 

The argument of "GTA is played however you want, so deal with it" is crud. If that's the case, then I should be able to drive around in any car I like, whether it be Super, or Junker. If someone wants to come along and sticky it to hell, so be it. I'm covered cause of the insurance. Unfortunately, Rockstar mucked that up as well cause there's exploits for that too (2nd Character all cash, Being Broke).

what about jets bro..? i think u shld not worry about tanks, worry about the jets ! because u can run from a tank, but it's impossible to run from a jet.. i always blow up peeps in their cars using the jet

Under most circumstances there is no way to tell whether the car drove into the tank or vice-versa. Without being inside the heads of the people involved you can never say. For example, what if a tank and a car drive into each other head on. Who's to blame? Also, one thing I do when in a tank and being chased is simply stop. They fly into the back of me, which was my intention. They drove into a stationary tank, but I meant it to happen.

 

You can't expect a piece of software to deal with the literally endless possibilities here unless it says Skynet on the loading screen.
