How do I host FOS V3?

You want to know what's funny, these are the same people who have been advocating making missions difficult to justify the high payouts, now someone has tried to do that and they have a problem with it, WTF? It's not like it's RR, the mission is difficult, it's exactly what these people have been asking for. So what's the deal?

 

And the fact that they haven't played it, how can they level judgement about it? How fair is that?

 

So instead of calling me a dumbass, you might want to take a second look at what position your defending.

This mission has already led to server downtime & more wasted man-hours the staff will endure rather than work towards new things. Surely that's the sign of a good, productive mission, right?

There is no mention of this maintenance being directly due to this mission. You are assuming...

 

Hmm....I guess that assuming that falling off a 4 story building will hurt isn't accurate at all as well.

 

R* will never say "due to our fanbase being a dick & finding new ways to test our patience, we're shutting off the servers for the console who this exploit affected"...real tact right there, huh?

That's entirely subjective to you. It does not reflect the thoughts of others.

This mission, however "good" you may deem it, is not authorized by the game's owner... no matter what you think.

 

What is NOT subjective, is that, again, everyone pays the piper for something only a percentage of people did.

I don't have a problem with either way people want to play the game, if they want to play legit, fine, if they want to grind, fine, if they want to glitch, fine, and if they get banned, well that's the price they pay. I don't take it personally, because i DON'T care how other people play this game, the content is light and people are going to find their own "fun", I don't glitch but I don't have issues with people that do.

I grind a group of missions over and over because playing the same one gets boring, but playing the same 4 over and over is enough to break up the monotony.

you haven't played the mission, you don't know the difficulty, all you see is a higher dollar value on it then RR, and you immediately cast judgement that it's a hack or a glitch, it's just something you don't agree with so it must be bad.

 

your going around these forums with comments of good riddance and it's gone, nothing constructive just snarky comments to people trying to find out things on this forum.

 

R*'s main focus is keeping cash card sales up, keeping that 60 million so far that you claim, that's alot of money, so of course they are nerf anything that serves to ease the struggle one bit.

 

and yeah it doesn't affect me, because if the R* servers are down for WHATEVER reason, I move onto something else, my life is not predicated by GTAO.

I told Brian b the way i used to publish a custom mission .

And i told him how they can fix it .

After the maintenance 90% i won't be able to publish custom missions .

Played this last night with a great group of guys. This is easily the best mission in GtaO ever. Balls to the pay out and RP, this is the kind of this rockstar should be giving us!!

Exactly my point, everyone I've met who's played this mission says it's a great mission regardless of the payout, it's just fun.

I don't want to become involved in this argument but down time is only for one hour supposedly from 4-5 am, and as was mentioned, we don't even know it's linked to FOS. The guy who made the mission should be congratulated IMO. We need more stuff like this from Rockstar. Payout could be negotiable but the mission is undeniably fun.

What the hell are you talking about woman? the reason why the mission pays out so high is because whatever algorithm that R* uses to determine payouts are based on difficulty, NPCs, number of them, how hard they are, how good their aiming is, etc.

 

R* determined that algorithm, it's why some of the really fun 'Mini-heist' capture jobs pay out like 20-25 grand. Are you going to make the people who made those missions feel guilty for making them.

 

Where does the crusade end? How about we just remove the creator all together, would that make you happy?

If this was a pick up 10 briefcases in 10 seconds for a 75k payout, I would completely agree with you, completely. But this mission is not, it's supposed to be a hard but fun mission, and now you have EFFECTED ME and taken away from my experience.
