Should Rockstar group people with similar connection?

Here's why I think R* should group players with similar connection. So earlier I'm in a jet while some Hispanic guy is also in a jet, teleporting around the sky, I managed to kill him the first time but the second time he killed me due to his terrible lag. This isn't the first time ive seen something like this but It puts people at a disadvantage when you have a player in front of you one moment & then in back of you the next. Its a problem for freeroam & in deathmatches mostly, don't know if it will fix the problem but its better than having someone teleporting in front of everyone's eyes and then calling it "skills".

No they don't. Maybe for you but that's the first time ive seen a jet lag.

It depends where they live. the further they live from you. the greater yours and his ping is.

if the internet traffic between you and the other player is heavily congested or overseas. that can also cause the ping to jump up..

 

Download and Upload speed doesn't really matter in this situation. Ping distance is what matters for Online Gaming.

Don't be a fool. The fish is just to facilitate overseas connections. We'll still be using carrier pigeons for domestic connections.

Well, I think the point is that there is a lag problem when players from different countries play against each other. Some countries like KSA have limited, government-ruled internet service. How did you know the dude was Hispanic? Can you distinguish between Spanish and Portuguese when you hear them?

Simple rule of lag. If you see everyone else lagging, then it is most likely you lagging.

You use a satellite? one of the reasons to never get Satellite internet. pinging would be horrible

i have no doubts many use lagswitch for this reason alone.

 

i often fly with crew members and others, i can tell the diference between slight sync issues and a guy who's constantly lagging in order to get advantage on you.

 

you hit his character model loads of times, he destroys you in the back while you see him in front.

 

i don't always get shot down by other pilots, but when i do there's like three of him onscreen, and i always seem to shoot the lag decoy.
