have you notice that at the beginning of every mission selected on the list in the menu ,now instead of being carried to the missions place , now you start it in the place you were ? come on, its very irritating to play diamonds for trevor and then want to play RR and have go over half of the map , if this happens to all rockstar have to fix this sh*t ,this , and the fact than now that we have more garage space ,the bifta cost 75 k is to directly go and hit with a bat in every developers balls...... that is such a dirty move from them,

Oh no, you have to actually travel around the map to get somewhere?

Madness! Unfair! Tyranny!

Off with their heads!

well.......

I seem to recall that unless i was hosting a mission.

I would spawn wherever the host initiated that mission..

in a river.

in the swamp..

in their dumb apartment...

it is a funny glitch called: play the game

They seem to have done this in purpose. I don't mind it as Id like the game to run seamlessly from missions to freeroam and back. Unfortunately that system is broken in another way now. Instead of coming back from freeroam in whatever car you were in at the end of the mission you now spawn back in your car. That really really irritates me because now if you see a car you want in a mission you can't keep it..

That means another 10 hours wasted driving around by yourself in invite only. So I don't mind if they go all the wat towards seem less play but I really hate how they have taken the worst part of both right now without the reward.

I hate it when you spawn in someone's apartment and the front door wont open. Drinking until you pass out seems to be the only way to get out. Randoms are always like "How the f*ck did they do that?", then quit

When everyone crowds around the front door and keeps mashing A/X to Leave Apartment, lol.

Yeah I agree with you OP. For a time being, this is how it use to be. The host's last location was where everybody would spawn at. Then an update came and it teleported everyone to where the mission would take place at. However, with this new update, they changed it back unfortunately.

I don't understand why some people are complaining about your query. I don't think they remember old Simeon missions like, "It Takes A Thief" or a mission called "Crank Up The Volume" where you HAVE to travel all the way to Blaine County to catch these wild NPCs.

Not to mention all the e-groping done...good grief.

Can you use apartment functions on missions? I swear if it happens again I'm just going to sit on the couch and watch TV, letting them do the mission LOL

There's no point having a massive E-Peen if there's no-one to e-grope it.

I'm sorry, but I'm not hearing this "Just the play the game" stuff! Initial mission location started out as mystery meat at first, then they made it so that missions selected through the phone started you off wherever you were when you selected the mission and the vote menu missions would launch at the mission objective. Then they were cool enough to see that we really don't have the time to drive halfway across the map (well, I might, but people that only get to play so many hours a week might not) for every mission and they placed us at the mission objective. Now we're back to mystery meat navigation.

We are consumers, if McDonald's decided that they were only going to use wheat buns for the Big Mac tomorrow, they'd lose a lot of customers. Why is my favorite game dev company allowed to play musical chairs with my game experience?

They keep doing this with mission payouts, this type of inconsistency is unheard of! It's unprofessional. It's akin to the curtain falling behind the magician to reveal the smoke and mirrors he's using to conjure his illusion. They should have waited until they built a sound and solid financial model for the future of this project.

There's no point having a massive E-Peen if there's no-one to e-grope it.

have someone else do it...My character's name is chastity for a reason, and my name is Xyn for-

...

...

...

f*ck. I really didn't think this through.

Don't think so. missions disable pretty much everything except Ammunation, which means if i get blood stains I can only change my tops & boots.

So you're saying that starting a mission in your last location is that big a deal to compare it to an analogy about a burger without the friggin' burger?

It's a peeve; not a gamebreaker. Starting in the host's last spot just makes you have to you know, use the cars people so desperately venerate.

Having only buns on a burger is something that defies the entire concept of a burger. That would never happen.

Again, weird analogy.

I just hate it when people start it in their homes.

"HEY EVERYONE LOOK AT MY UGLY GARAGE!"

Last time that happened I was stuck inside a wall.

I actually wish you would start from whatever you are even if it means you start in different places on the map. How hard is it? Just call/find a heli and go!

But im all for more realism. Wish you wouldnt carry 10 vests and 20 or so guns packed in magic pockets either, so im problaby not the right guy to answer for the majorety of the GTA players. ;)

the other day i joined the mission where you had to kill baller bosses and we spawned next to the freeway leading in and out of los santos, and my rat loader spawned about a quarter mile on the opposite side of the freeway, i did start driving away in a car i jacked, but i wanted my truck bad enough that i u turned and went back and i got out and climbed over the jersey barrier and dodged three lanes of traffic to get it.

yes i know this could have gone into the story thread.

@Xyn, that made no sense and wasn't really relative to what I was saying. When people buy Big Macs they expect the regular buns, if the company changes those regular buns to wheat buns, customers are going to drop. I could further the analogy to them changing the buns to another to another type of bread only 3 months later. Like changing the recipe. It's a statement about consistency and being professional. Every time they change something around several times it begins to feel beta.

But hey, I'm not fascist, I think we can turn spawn at mission objective into an option that can be toggled on and off. This way, we all can get what we want.

Right now if I invite people to a mission, they will spawn at a far away distance like at Madrazo's place, while I'm already at the objective looking at their personal vehicles. This makes sense how?
